Vacation rentals with a kayak in Itasca County

Roger is a very nice and accommodating person! He was responsive and very helpful from the beginning. The house was clean and was in an excellent location for our needs. The view from his deck is on the lake and dock, and the furniture is nice. The large TV, dishwasher, laundry room etc. were all amenities that we were not expecting for the price. A very nice, comfortable setting!

My family and I had such an incredible stay at Jennifer’s lake house. It was the perfect combination of spacious, cozy, and private for us to spend our Christmas week there. The location and wintry weather had us feeling like we were in a snow globe. The house was even decorated for the season, and had more than enough room for the group we had. Makes me excited for the summer months, as I would absolutely book here again!

The cabin is beautiful. Everything looked just like the pictures. It surely exceeded our expectations, we had a peaceful and relaxing weekend. Thanks Moriah for having such an amazing place ✨️

The listing was very accurate. The view was wonderful! The furniture was comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and layout was functional. They provided lots of towels and toilet paper. The half bath made it nice with 7 guests. The only suggestion was maybe a memory foam topper for the master bed as it was a little too firm for my liking. We got to use the kayaks and boat which was very appreciated. I only wish we remembered our fishing poles. The sauna got hot. They even provided the wood! You may be able to find a cheaper place but this one included a lot of extras. We hope to go back again next year.

Place was good close to a lot of lakes good for fishing. Only stayed for short time but would easily stay again with all the lakes in close proximity for fishing and beautiful area.

Our family has strong roots in the many towns in this area. This home provided the perfect anchor for us while we traveled to spend time with family and friends and celebrate my father’s life. The home was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the view of the lake. I would recommend staying there.

This house is amazing. Better than the photos! We were a group of 12 friends who meet up for a reunion every few years and Rick's house was perfect! Lots of space (3 floors) and lots of beds! Yoga on the deck, games in the living room, Corn Hole in the basement, dinner on the deck overlooking the water and bonfire in the evenings. Don't forget to stargaze! There are hiking and biking trails (highly recommend Heartland Loop), as well as pickleball nearby (short drive). We opted to rent a pontoon (delivered!) which provided great access to the lake, loons, and swimming. The kitchen is well-stocked with appliances, dishes, pots/pans, and cutlery. We will be back!

Great place on the lake! There was plenty of space for our family and we particularly enjoyed sitting outside on the patio and floating in the lake during the day. We rented a pontoon one afternoon, which I highly recommend! We played pickleball a few times at the YMCA and brought up our bikes to enjoy the Mesabi bike trail. There is so much to do in the area! Bring bug spray if you plan to be outside at dusk. The house was clean and well-equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We thought we’d use the sauna but honestly it looks more appealing in photos than in real life. We appreciated the bottle of wine and s’mores kit left by the host. Note, there is a small chore list to take care of when you leave. Can’t wait to visit Grand Rapids again!

Quaint and peaceful cottage on the water. Not a lot of frills but just the space to get away. It was affordable compared to other places in the area and since I did have to work, it was nice to have reliable WiFi!

If you’re looking for a quiet, cozy, relaxing, cabin getaway, this is your place! Saw and heard loons every day/night, which is always cool. Very easy to relax and enjoy the surrounding wildlife and scenery, highly recommend!

The cabin was the perfect spot for my parents visit to MN. It was partway between the activities we were doing, hosts were both very attentive and also let everyone enjoy their time. We stayed a week and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this cabin on the lake.

We had a wonderful stay at The Hideaway! We drove up from Mississippi for a white Christmas and spent most of our time ice skating on the lake, reading, and playing board games. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation: books, games, puzzles, the lake, even extra dog bags for clean up. My oldest went ice fishing a few times. As an amateur baker, I loved that the kitchen had things like bread pans, a pastry blender, a dough scraper, etc. It made the Christmas and New Year’s baking of delicious breads and desserts much easier. Highly recommend and considering another stay this summer!

We spent Christmas here and it was perfect! There were 11 of us, 4 who were 7-18 years old. The game room was awesome, we loved the living room space and kitchen was so perfect. There were plenty of beds. The setting was beautiful and we were able to cut down our own Christmas tree which only added to our amazing Christmas. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy this space!

We could not have asked for a better place to vacation! The house was amazing! The beds were comfortable with beautiful quilts on some of the beds. The kitchen was fully stocked for whatever we wanted to make! Bathrooms were very nice. We spent most of our time outside around the fire, on the dock fishing or kayaking/ on the lake with the boat. We caught lots of fish and spent good quality time with family. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home and if we come back up for any fishing trips, we would definitely stay here again!

Our family stayed here for Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. The lake is beautiful and quiet which we found pretty amazing because a quiet lake on Memorial Day is hard to find in Minnesota. Being able to use the available kayaks and paddleboat made my kids so happy. The house was quaint but very clean and well laid out. The kitchen was well stocked and also the water is very drinkable which isn't always the case with well water but this was good. The bunkhouse was the perfect place for our kids because they felt like they had a space of their own and we got to sleep longer :). All in all it was great and would absolutely stay again.

Our family had a great short stay here. We had four kids and six adults, and everyone had a great time. The home, furnishings, and beds were all very comfortable. There was lots of space and we especially loved the deck, dock, fire pit, and beach. Our kids spent a ton of time in the kayaks, swimming, and fishing - caught tons of bass, sunnies, and crappie. Very grateful to have had the honor of staying in this third generation home to make our own family memories.
