Our stay at Maria’s charming historical villa on the stunning island of Favignana was pure bliss. From the moment she picked us up at the harbor, we felt her warm and kind-hearted nature. Despite my Italian not being perfect, we understood each other effortlessly and felt a deep, mutual connection. We spent our days on the beautiful terrace, enjoying swims in the crystal-clear, turquoise waters of our secluded cala. The villa’s location is perfect for exploring the island by bike, e-bike, or motorbike. We chose regular bikes, embracing the “dolce far niente” vibe as we leisurely explored every corner of the island’s beauty. Despite Maria describing the villa as small, it felt like a luxurious paradise with everything we needed and beyond. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax, recharge, and discover Favignana’s charm. We’ll definitely be back if we’re lucky enough to find this magical villa available again. Wow, as good as the photos are - they understate the size of the property which is gigantic. It is a mansion, not a house and you’ll forever be finding additional seating and areas throughout your stay. The property could use a little love, but ultimately this adds to the charm and evident history of the villa. Paintings, ornaments and the likes are littered through the house adding to the intrigue. Thankfully the roads leading up the villa are wide and well paved once you get to the private compound gate (2 km’s), and there are better roads than others pre this point. There is a stray cat which likes to rest on the property, however it does keep to itself and may not be permanent. The bedrooms are huge, all with ensuites and the dual kitchen gives you options too. It really is a special place to stay with amazing views of the water, city and mountains.

The cottage fit 6 of us comfortably! Roberto and Alessio were responsive and gave excellent suggestions for places to visit/eat. We were spoiled being on the doorstep of the nature preserve and visited a few times during our stay. Recommend without reservation.

Wir sind zum Kiten nach Sizilien gekommen und dafür war die Unterkunft perfekt - die Nähe zum Kite Spot ist super, die kleine Terrasse vor der Tür zum Neo trocknen auch. Wir hatten alles notwendige, was wir gebraucht haben. Alessio ist ein netter Host und war für uns immer erreichbar.

Große Reiseempfehlung! Die neu renovierte Wohnung von Friedrich ist noch schöner als auf den Fotos. Sie ist mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet (tolle alte Steinfliesen im Schlafzimmer) und mit allem ausgestattet, was es braucht. Die Aussicht sowie die Sonnenuntergänge von der privaten Dachterrasse sind traumhaft schön. In der Abwesenheit von Friedrich wurde ich sehr herzlich von Antonino empfangen - dem sympathischsten Gastgeber, der mir bislang auf meinen Reisen begegnet ist. Neben zahlreichen Tipps (kostenfreie Parkmöglichkeiten umliegend zur Wohnung) und Informationen über Marsala & das Umland (sehenswerte Ausflugsziele, traumhafte Buchten mit glasklarem Wasser, super leckere Restaurantempfehlungen mit bester italienischer Küche) war es vor allem Antoninos authentische Gastfreundschaft und Hilfsbereitschaft, welche diesen Urlaub für mich unvergesslich gemacht hat. Ich habe somit Marsala und ein Stück Sizilien kennen und lieben gelernt und werde definitiv wieder kommen!

we loved our stay in this sweet little cottage! it's simple but comfortable, and the shaded patio surrounded by greenery is just dreamy. we really enjoyed spending our afternoons relaxing here after the beach. the location was perfect, it's a 5 minute walk/1 minute bike ride into town, but on a quiet road so it feels very peaceful. Elisa is a very kind and welcoming host and made us feel at home. would definitely recommend staying here!

Liebe Paola, wir danken von Herzen für die schöne Zeit in deinem Haus am Meer. Wir waren mit unserem sieben Monate kleinen Sohn dort und es war ideal mit der großen Terrasse zum herumkrabbeln und das Meer direkt vor der Tür. Es gab alles im Haus, was man braucht und wenn etwas gefehlt hat, dann hat Paola dafür gesorgt, dass wir es bekommen (wie einen Sonnenschirm und ein großen Tuch für den Strand) und der Kühlschrank war stets gefüllt mit Orangen, Eiern, Olivenöl und Tomatensoße alles aus eigener Produktion. Unglaublich lecker! Zum Flughafen sind es keine 10 Minuten, was es sehr angenehm macht. Für Restaurants und Supermarkt muss man allerdings ein Auto haben. Wir empfehlen die Pizza Chef in Maurausa 🍕und einen Besuch in Trapani, Marsala und Erice! Unbedingt einmal „caldo freddo“ probieren 🍨! Vielen Dank, Paola und bis zum nächsten Mal 😘

5 stars! This home was absolutely beautiful! Everything was perfect. Pristine, clean, gorgeously decorated. It is walking steps away to a private beach where we got to watch the sunset-and perfectly situated for day trips into trapani, erice, San Vito lo capo etc. patrizia was amazing with recommendations, truly welcoming, and answered any of our questions quickly! She even helped us find wineries and booked dinner for us. I can’t recommend this place enough, really special.
