The place and the location were absolutely stunning and we loved tending to and then sitting in the hot tub at sunset.

If you’re adventurous and enjoy unique places, then like us, you’ll love this place!Thankfully for us the weather cleared the afternoon we arrived and we had fantastic views of the mountains and surrounding areas. Some persistent stoking of the hot tub paid off and a good relaxing soak in steaming hot water as the clouds rolled in and rain started in the late evening was beautiful!

If your looking for unique, rustic and quirky accommodations just 40 mins north of Christchurch, look no further. Damian’s barn accommodation is such a fun place to stay. From the spa to the turntable with lots of old vinyl to belt out. Topping this off with a glass of his Pinot Noir on the veranda in the afternoon sun was the ultimate escape. Damian is a wonderful host, friendly and welcoming. His breakfast hamper option is very generous and delicious. We were lucky enough to have a tour of the main homestead which has been lovely restored by Damian and also has beautiful BnB accommodation. Two wineries with great food are just minutes down the road. All in all I couldn’t fault this unique accommodation. Thank you Damian for your welcoming hospitality. Cheryl & Donna

We had a lovely weekend at Richard’s. Perfect for a quiet relaxed getaway. With mixed weather we got to make the most of both the fire place and hotpool but also the swimming pool on the hot day. Highly recommend the farm tour - such a beautiful place and Richard was an excellent guide and host!

We throughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is stunning and an easy walk to the township. The house was very clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Olivia was a wonderful host and such a pleasure to deal with. We would highly recommend this holiday home and would love to stay there again 🙂

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Karen was kind enough to light the fire when we reached there and she introduced all the farm animals to our daughter and fed them which was the highlight of the stay. The surroundings are serene away from hustle. Can easily say one of the best farm cottages we have stayed. Highly recommended and would love to visit again! Thanks for the great stay Karen!

we had a wonderful stay , with Maree .nice spacious grounds for our dog to have a wander around very close to the main street ,everything within walking distance Marie was very helpful about sightseeing and things to do

We had a great stay at Kim’s cottage! Kim was very helpful throughout the whole process — quick, positive, and easy to communicate with. The cottage had everything we needed, and the bed was made up with very clean sheets. Although it was a cold and wet day when we arrived, the house heated up quickly and kept us warm and cosy throughout the weekend. It’s a perfect spot if you’re looking to explore Lake Daniells. We’re so grateful we chose to stay at Kim’s place — it made recovering from a long day of tracking much easier

Really enjoyed our stay at Andrew's house for a family getaway (6 adults, 1 child). The bedrooms are well set up and plenty of space. The house was nice and warm, well equipped with heaters and of course the fireplace puts out a lot of heat! The common areas were really nice for hanging out as a family and cooking meals. There is lovely walking tracks that start just at the end of the street, and town is not very far away (walkable, with a hill).

Lieu atypique et plein de charme. Nos enfants ont adoré dormir dans l’ancien garage des diligences avec les selles des chevaux exposées comme décoration. Mike et Linda ont été très accueillant et nous ont fait faire le tour de la propriété qui réserve de nombreuses surprises! Malgré le temps pluvieux nous avons passé un très bon moment !

Any confusion re: location was all mine. Once I understood I needed to check in with the Top 10 Park office, it all became too easy. My wife & I had 4 family friends from overseas staying with us, & they were VERY impressed. Kitchen Appliances, Linen etc, & then the beds themselves -firm, but we all slept really well. The bathroom was rated highly by all, & a separate "powder room" off the lounge area was a bonus. The lounge area easily accomodated us all. Outside on the deck was a Weber Gas BBQ for our use, but sadly not for us this time. A very well thought out design given the constraints of the building external dimensions. Inside, it feels very generous in it's proportions. We highly recommend this as an excellent place to stay. Try to book it for more than just a single night, which was our only regret. Our compliments to our hosts, who btw were very easily contacted. Thanks again.

This is a great place. perfect location to walk to everything in town. The fire was fantastic on chilli nights.

Very nice place, clean and modern. The host was helpful and gave us clean towels every day. The kitchen is a little small for a longer stay but still functional.

Absolutely amazing! The accommodation exceeded expectations and was very spacious and clean and new! We were over the moon! Loved it!

Great stay here in Hanmer. Have stayed in a few houses but this one feels like the one we'll come back to most. Driveway is steep, but plenty of warning about this in the ad. Easy to get in and the lounge area is a great size for the 4 of us. Views out the side of the house to the mountains is epic! Very quiet and nice street. You could walk to town easily, but it was too cold for us. Fire was a welcome treat as it can get really cold in the winter. Note - You will need to be able to log into your Netflix / Prime accounts if you want to watch those, but TV had access to all the apps we'd usually use. Everything was spot on otherwise, and we'll likely be back!

Had a lovely stay at this wonderful wee place. It was very secluded and I had a great time walking around the nearby vineyards and trails. The host was very reliable and helpful! I would definitely recommend this place if you want a chilled out stay.

We had a great time, it’s was very cosy, good facilities. The house is better than the photos, huge lounge, great for families.
