So glad we found this place!! Even though it’s a bit out of the way from any cities, the peaceful nature and quiet helps you decompress and enjoy your stay! The house was super clean and new. Joanne was super responsive to all my questions. My friends & I had such a great time and enjoyed the fresh air here! Great amenities like hot tub, patio, and fire pit for group activities!

From the moment we arrived, all I could say was WOW! 🤩 What an incredible place to stay—absolutely beautiful with so much to do! The pool was a highlight and truly spectacular. This home is a hidden gem! My family and I had a fantastic time at Elkhorn, and Omar was an exceptional host. Every detail in the home was thoughtfully done and really added to the experience. We loved our stay!

Laurel Springs Lodge is a lovely and relaxing place for quality family time. We enjoyed every aspect of the cabin: the lovely living room and fireplace, the well-stocked kitchen for cooking meals for our group, the deck and fire pit and hot tub and pond were just perfect on a May weekend. We attended Penn State graduation and then returned to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the mountainside. Take a short rocky hike to the hawk-viewing platform a mile up the road. It’s worth the panoramic view of the valley and farms.

Had a wonderful weekend at a beautiful lodge. The house was clean with a great hot tub. We were able to use the kitchen to cook as it had most kitchenware. Keurig was a plus! Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels! Thank you EldwinJen!

I was planning on section hiking part of the Standing Stone Trail. I was looking for a cabin in the woods. Sharon did not disappoint. The place was very clean and exactly as described. Her instructions were very easy to follow. Great all around.

Everything was amazing. I would have liked if the cell signal was better but im camping so that's not a big deal. it would be nice if there were more trails onsight. only a few fishing spots u could reach. And a boat would cost 800 a day which I couldn't afford. But all that said, litteraly everything else was perfect. Beautiful location, great ppl and they provided everything you need for a camping trip. I will definitely be back.

We were looking for a place to spend the weekend fishing some of the great PA class A fishing streams in the area and Laura’s place met our needs perfectly! As a bonus it was an easy walk down to the Little Juniata River! Loved waking up to the sounds of the birds and trains that frequently run through the area. Also appreciated the Seattle’s Best Coffee in the morning!

My wife and I stayed a couple nights to enjoy some local lake activities. We found this cottage to be exactly as described. It was clean, private and had modern appliances. We would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at The Fox Den with our host, Janine. From start to finish, Janine was incredibly communicative, making the check-in and check-out process effortless. She clearly cares about creating a great guest experience, and it shows in every thoughtful detail of the home. The house itself feels like it was designed specifically for your stay—everything is intuitive, well-organized, and comfortable. We stayed with my wife and I, both sets of our parents, and our two toddlers, and it was the perfect setup for a multi-generational family trip. The backyard is spacious and relaxing, and the creek and nearby river gave our kids endless opportunities to explore and play. The location is fantastic: just 5 minutes from town for any last-minute essentials, and about 15 minutes from the marina and a resort on the lake. We’d absolutely return and recommend The Fox Den to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-appointed getaway.

This is the second time that I’ve stayed at Michael’s Lake House. My family and I had another wonderful trip. This time we were able to enjoy the peaceful lake. In the short time, we made four trips to it and it was so relaxing and serene. We all enjoyed dipping our feet in and having a picnic by the lake!! Michael is always responsive to whatever we need, although we never need much because it’s all right there. It was so nice for us to enjoy our time and each other, whether it was playing ping pong, darts or games. The house is immaculate!!! It is so peaceful to go outside on the deck or take a walk. Thank you again for another great stay!!!!

We really enjoyed our peaceful stay at the Spruce Creek Cabin. It exceeded our expectation of having a peaceful and beautiful location. I would highly recommend Spruce Creek Cabin for a relaxing retreat.

What a quiet and relaxing weekend surrounded by nature and all its beauty. Elizabeth’s little cabin tucked deep in the woods was a great get away from the hustle and bustle of life. We arrived at the garage as stated and then traveled back past everything up the trail to the beautiful cabin that was welcoming us with a beautiful wildflower bouquet. Stepping inside, we instantly felt at peace and relaxed. Took a minute to find the lights and how to work the AC but that’s nothing abnormal for a new place anyway. Fridge was stocked with water and we filled an ice cube tray for the next guests as well using the bottles. The bed was very very cozy, great sunrise through the windows in the morning and if your up to making a small fire in the pit outside, it’s perfect watching the sunrise with a hot cup of coffee as everything wakes up around you. Shower and bathroom is rustic but enjoyable, and plenty of cookware if you so choose to cook. Great time was had. Thank you!

I loved the place, having the river in front of the cabin was amazing, it was quit, fresh, nice experience. What they doing with the campsite looks amazing on the long way. They are still under construction, but that didn’t stop us from having a great time.. this places is definitely on our favorite places..

Home was clean and well kept. Beautiful interior, mountainman like. Porch and deck were very nice. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was nice, living room was great. Great experience. Will be back next year.

this is the absolute cutest 😍 most perfect cabin!! such a peaceful, serene escape. I found this little gem and could not believe just how perfect it is!! I was up there for graduation. my son graduated from Penn and this was the perfect place away from all the hassle and bussle i hope to go again .Amber was so kind and helpful. absolutely recommend this place!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Madison and Greg’s adorable, cozy, quirky, comfortable cabin! We had two families staying for the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Regionals competition held at Penn State and it was perfect. Easy and scenic 30 minute drive to Penn State and 10-15 minutes to beautiful hiking trails. We even saw a porcupine! Madison also left us so many thoughtful touches from a welcome basket to complementary toothbrush/toothpaste sets to a bowl of candy. We met the really nice neighbor in passing who told us about the history of the cabin (so cool with personally built additions over the years!) and recommended area activities. We would definitely stay here again!
