Inside, quality materials such as Italian granite and solid oak planks are used. The kitchen and bathroom have custom-built fittings in solid oak, and the kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and an oven with many functions. Large window surfaces provide good light and nice views of Mjøsa.

The old summer barn of Hovelsrud Gård is idyllically located between Mjøsa and a rolling grain field – a simple and unique place for those who want to get close to nature and enjoy the tranquility of Helgøya. The house is best suited for a couple or a small family with up to two children. Inside there is a bedroom and an open living room. Outside there is a kitchen counter, with a gas burner and barbecue, a small beach with swimming opportunities and an outdoor toilet. There is no electricity.
