Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. The house offers three lovely double rooms, one of which is located on a cozy loft. In the spacious living room has a wood-burning stove, a long table, and a large, cozy sofa where you can relax. Outside is the outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven, barbecue and dining area for 10 people as well as a large lounge sofa. The garden has a spa with sauna, wilderness bath, cold water bowl, and an outdoor shower. The summerhouse is only 700 meters from a large sandy beach. It is 2.5 km to the center of Hornbæk and 600 meters to the train station.

The house is located in beautiful quiet natural surroundings down to Esrum Å. From the house there are views of the garden, river and fields. Next to the house is the main house where sometimes there can be someone. The house is nice with a nice kitchen and bathroom and everything a house should have. 10 min walk from lovely sandy beach. There is free access to kayaks, sup, firepit, bikes and fishing poles. New VILDMARKSBAD and ICE BATH are for a fee.
