Vacation rentals with lake access in Himalayas

I must say this is one of the spacious and well maintained Airbnb I have visited in my recent times. We the family of 6 with one child had a stay with ample space, best comfort and great amenities. The host Karan was super active with just a call away. Caretaker was also swiftly responsive and maintaining the property quite well. Hardly to find any cons with the mansion but the local weather had some. Definitely visit the lavish greenery property in coming months.

The stay felt homely and the host was very responsive. Mr. Kailash, the caretaker of the property, was also helpful in guiding us to reach the location as we arrived quite late in the night and the road towards the end was steep and narrow.

It was really a comfortable stay for us…we went there to visit Mansa Devi temple and it was very close to that…Neha went above our expectations and Sabita helped us with smooth check in’s…Highlight was green park just in front of the house & beautiful balconies to sit and enjoy morning tea… Kitchen was equipped with all the amenities listed here…would definitely book whenever we plan to come here… Thank you Neha for the comfortable Stay…Everyone enjoyed a lot and wish to see you next time!

This was one of our best AirBnB experiences! The location is perfect with the lake right in front of the cottage. The house itself is very cosy and tastefully done up. They have a microwave and fridge so you can be fairly independent as well. The area is comfortable for a family or close friends traveling together. Kumkum Ma'am and Hari Sir are absolutely the best hosts. They are very warm and caring and go out of their way to help you. They have the most interesting stories that keep you entertained. We had a personal emergency and Hari Sir ensured we got all the help we could get. He spoke to his family and with his vast local network, we were able to solve the problem very easily. We were so grateful for his help and guidance. The caretaker Nandanji and his family are very helpful and take care of every need. The food he makes is very delicious and you can ask him to make as per your tastes and preferences. We traveled with a toddler and a dog and all of us had a wonderful time. We can safely say that we will be staying with them every time we head for a vacation in that area!

Best place to stay in Dharmshala with your dog. We had a german shepherd and she enjoyed every bit of her stay since the surroundings are very dog friendly and there’s ample amount of space for running without leash. Minor thing is that there is no AC, and during the day it was a bit hot inside the house although it was fine at night. Rest Ankit was very amicable and responsive and made sure there were no issues during the stay.

This is our second stay at Vishal's place and I must stay it is now on my list of top places to go back to. The surroundings are pristine and peaceful. Really a mix of all good things coming together - the mountain range clearly visible from our balcony itself, the clean and beautiful riverside just behind the house and the lush green valleys and farms all around. It feels like a piece of heaven Vishal's parents live downstairs and are friendly and helpful. Make you feel independent but also helped at the same time. The villagers are also very friendly. Overall a hidden gem that you must visit if you are looking for a slice of peace.

⸻ We had a truly wonderful stay at this Airbnb, and a big part of that was thanks to our incredibly kind and responsive host. Our baby fell sick during the trip, and the host went out of his way to help us. He was considerate enough to allow us to stay a few extra hours beyond the checkout time, understanding that we needed more time to manage things with the baby. The home itself was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed—but it’s the warmth and hospitality of the host that truly made this stay special.

A truly aesthetic and well-maintained space — everything from the AC to the kitchen worked perfectly. The design is thoughtful, the ambiance serene, and the entire experience was seamless. Highly recommend for a peaceful, stylish stay.

The view from here is hands down the best in the city, especially during sunset — absolutely breathtaking! Everything was perfect, from the ambiance to the location. Great place to stay in New Delhi. The security system was good. The Hauz Khas Lake, Social Circle (great view of the lake!), Shell Beacon Cafe near by were amazing. Also, there were some genuine art street stores around, apart from night clubs. If you want to have a traditional kind of experience in Hew Delhi, it’s the place to stay.

I had a wonderful stay here! The location is fantastic — just 3 by foot minutes to a beautiful hiking trail that takes you through forests and offers breathtaking views of Annapurna and Pokhara Lakeside. It's also close to the centre of Lakeside so accessing great cafes and restaurants and shops was easy. Best of all, the apartment was perfect! Quiet, spacious, and with lots of natural light. A well-stocked kitchen with gas stove and all things needed to cook, a squeaky clean bathroom with excellent shower, a comfortable bed, and even a workspace with strong wifi connection. The room has nice lighting too, for bedtime reading. It also has a huge balcony/rooftop where I sat out under the stars and did morning yoga. The hosts were fantastic — friendly, helpful, and very welcoming, like family. I will definitely stay here again when I'm back in Pokhara.

The apartment was spotless, cleanest we have stayed in on a 4 month trip. The owners were lovely and the price was affordable with a good location. Would really recommend staying here

Lovely and comfortable cabin, located in a peaceful surrounding but walking distance to nearby grocery stores as well as Siikhe lake. It felt like home away from home! We will definitely want to come back.

Very peaceful and calm place to spend a low-key vacation. The caretaker Sanjay was extremely responsive and pampered us with great food, barbeque and bonfire. Felt like home, would certainly recommend staying here.

1. The place is exactly same as described and shown in pictures . 2. Host is very responsive and polite with nature . 3. This cottage is best if you are looking for some offbeat and peaceful area , that is very close to nature . 4. This is 2 floor cottage with fully equipped kitchen, and best for family also . 5. There are 2 cute dogs , very friendly and as I am a pet lover so I had great time with them . 6. You can enjoy your sunrise and sunset time in balcony with amazing view of nature . 7. This cottage is in Bhowali range so all the tourist spots are not so far from it . You can cover them very easily from this spot . 8 . The only this about this place is this , that there is 100 meter steep slope , so you need expert driver or you can take help from host , they will definitely arrange some help for you to reach the place . My experience was really good , I am in love with this place as I am a peace lover who like to stay near nature and away from traffic and noise .

We had a wonderful two-day stay at this lovely Airbnb home in Mukteshwar. The location is peaceful and surrounded by nature—perfect for a refreshing break. We especially enjoyed the short hike nearby, which offered stunning views and a quiet escape into the hills. The food was a highlight—fresh, delicious, and made with so much care by the caretakers. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home. While the road to the property is a bit rough, the experience at the home more than makes up for it—definitely not a reason to lower the rating. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a serene and homely mountain getaway!

Great location, beautiful property. Kamla Aunty was just amazing human being and her son Sanjay is great person. Property needs some maintenance, cleaning could be improved. Need new linen and curtains. Some upgrades would be nice. Love sitting outdoor. We had automatic rear wheel drive SUV, we found it hard to reach to the property. 4WD wouldn’t have any issues but if you driving front wheel sedan or hatch just be careful. Overall had an amazing stay
