The Wood Pile Inn getaway

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. This historic cabin built in 1920 was recently refurbished to its old charm with some modern upgrades for your comfort. The original owner of the Cabin was an author named Catherine Woods. She wrote the very first book on the history of Palomar Mountain; Teepee to Telescope. You'll find a copy in the cabin for a good read.Lots of natural light make this little cabin feel spacious, the windows throughout the cabin offer a beautiful forest view.

The built-in cedar hot tub on the deck is a perfect spot for stargazing. Great location, only a 5 minute drive to town, a quick walk to hiking trails. Find your new happy place.

The cabin has plenty of parking with room for an RV or trailer on a flat lot with only 3 stairs to the front door. The living space is open concept with sliding glass doors to a great view of the outdoors and some beautiful sunsets. The backyard has outdoor seating and a kids' playhouse. A National Forest hiking trail is at the end of the quiet street and is only minutes from Bear Mountain Resort. Curl up by the fireplace and enjoy surround-sound tunes, or have a spa-like soak after hitting the nearby trails. As a creative couple ourselves, we designed this space for romantic getaways and creative retreats.
