Safety tips for culinary Airbnb Experiences

These days, everyone's a foodie. Cooking Experiences allow Hosts and guests to share their culinary passions. Whether you're making paella, pastries, or papadam, follow these safety guidelines we developed in partnership with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the American Red Cross, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC).

Reporting food safety issues

All food Experiences must follow our guidelines for safe food handling, based on PAHO's safer food guidelines. Those that don’t risk removal from Airbnb.

If you feel you came across something that wasn’t in line with our food safety guidelines during an Experience, contact us directly. If it took place in California, you can report a food safety issue to the local environmental health agency.

Trip support

All Airbnb Experiences include 24/7 community support. Additionally, in the event of a life-threatening injury, Airbnb has partnered with an emergency medevac provider to evacuate an injured person if medically necessary.
