Asturias

You can read this article in Spanish or English.

The Government of the Principality of Asturias approved a decree to regulate short-term vacation rentals on August 10, 2016. The intent is to hold short-term vacation rentals to the same standards commercial tourist accommodations.

Registration

You must register any dwelling you plan to use for tourist accommodations to Asturias’ Ministry of Employment, Industry, and Tourism before you’re allowed to host guests.

Advertising your accommodation

After you register your accommodation, the Ministry of Employment, Industry, and Tourism will provide you with a registration number. You’ll need to display your registration number on any type of advertisement for your accommodation, including your Airbnb listing. Listings in cities that require registration have a field where you can easily display your registration number.

Additional information

You can contact the Ministry of Employment, Industry, and Tourism if you have any additional questions about regulations in Asturias.
