Skipperhuset

🏡 Skipperhuset is the oldest house on our family farm Birkenes located in Farsund municipality. The Skipper House was built in the 19th century and has been rehabilitated several times, most recently in the spring of 2021. In collaboration with a local painting company, we are working to make the house as authentic as possible, including wallpapering the living room, kitchen and hallway with skipper house wallpaper and linseed oil paint to preserve wood, etc. The Skipperhuset has a natural place on the farm and is located wall to wall with the brewery house which has a renovated baker's oven.

On the 1st floor you will find a hallway, laundry room, bathroom, TV room with a sofa bed and 3 bedrooms with 2 single beds in each room. On the 2nd floor, there is a large kitchen and living room with a dining area and TV area, as well as a master bedroom with a double bed and a large bathroom. Recharge your batteries at this unique and quiet accommodation. Morning coffee can be enjoyed both inside and outside with the same feeling of proximity to nature. Large windows overlooking the Spindsfjord and high ceilings bring nature close. A shared jetty with its own berth can be found about 2 minutes walk down to the sea. There you can swim from the jetty. If you rent a boat, you can go straight out into a varied archipelago with good fishing opportunities. Beaches are about 15 min away towards Lista. 10 min by boat/car to the city center.

Hidra has a lot to offer in terms of attractions, fishing and nature experiences, but is also the starting point for trips to Brufjell, Flekkefjord city, Kjeragbolten, Prekestolen and many other exciting places.

Cozy old house located on the country side close to scenic water (Hanangervannet), known for its rich bird life and nice bathing. Large garden with scenic view. Simple standard, but cozy furnishings. The house has 4 separate bedrooms, where 3 are located on the second floor. Approx 7 minutes walk to bathing water which is very nice for smaller kids, shallow water and warmer than the sea. Approx 22 minutes walk to the beautiful sandy beaches of Lista, which offers miles and miles of sand.
