Welcome to the Grafton Chateau, a gorgeous secluded and private country retreat for all of your family and friends. With six bedrooms and a den, four baths, two fireplaces, a sauna and a large private pond beautifully situated on 67 acres of woodlands, the Grafton Chateau is the perfect comfortable home base for ski trips, hiking, antiquing, or just enjoying the scenery while you sit around the fire pit. The garage has outdoor recreation gear, like snowshoes and sleds. The den has a variety of toys, and games for kids and adults. The whole house, sauna house, barn and all 67 acres are all yours! We are always available by phone, text, or email if you have any questions. Grafton is just about the most charming Vermont town you can find and is convenient to four ski mountains and every other outdoor activity you can imagine.

Relax in this calm Nordic-style space. Rocking chairs on the porch overlook a pond, meadow, and spectacular seasonal fireflies. 140 woodland acres to explore with old (rough) logging trails with views, sheep and chickens you can feed. High ceilings, scenic window, woodstove, indoor waterless toilet, outdoor coldwater sink and outdoor private hot shower (when above freezing); available sauna at main house. 35-45 min to main ski areas. Most pets ok! Owner's home conveniently close but out of view.

Lower Yurt Stay on VT Homestead

We are located in the hills of central VT, close to hiking, skiing and swimming. Disconnect to reconnect! Our homestead is based on permaculture landscape design. Unwind in the traditional Finnish Sauna, relax by the living pool, or kick back in an Adirondack chair looking out at the hills of VT. We have an ideal environment for digital detox. 1-bedroom walkout basement apartment with French doors that open onto a private patio. It is located at Log Heaven, a full scribe Log Home on 10 beautiful acres in Royalton Vermont. We are close to I-89, the White River, Silver Lake , Saskadena Ski Area, and Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park . You need to travel on a gravel road which by VT standards is well maintained for 1.5-3 miles depending which direction you travel. We are 45 min to Killington Ski Resort, 1 hr to Okemo Ski area.
