Our home offers a panoramic view of the entire Harsil Valley and the Bhagirathi river. Harsil is 25 km (1 hour) before 'Gangotri', making it the perfect layover spot before you begin your religious pilgrimage to the Gangotri temple. Our homestay is 2 km from Bhagori, a Tibetan colony. I had a great time at Oakwood Homestay. Suman, the host, is super gracious. The place has an amazing view and is prefect for a family or a bigger group. We were served simple food which we loved. There are multiple treks nearby which you will thoroughly enjoy.

It was an amazing experience. The place was very neat and quite exactly to our expectations. The attendant was helpful and ensured that we had a very comfortable stay. The place is walkable from the river and the rooms are super comfortable and clean. Highly recommend this place to stay and I look forward to our next trip before end of this year!
