My intention was to find a place to stay with a beautiful lake view. The cabin was great, but the view from the deck was just what I wanted. It was very quiet, and I spent as much time as possible on the deck. I enjoyed watching the wildlife as I read and journaled. I was there during the week, and it was rainy, so there was little activity on the lake...just what I wanted! I would love to stay at Jody's place again. The cabin was spacious, fluffy towels, great bathrooms, well-stocked kitchen. Once again, it's the view that I will remember the most. It has to be one of the best on the lake. Many outdoor seats to choose from made the perfect place to relax and recharge.

delightful off-the-grid farm cabin in the woods

I was looking for a peaceful, off grid location that afforded me a private sanctuary, this little cabin checked all of the boxes. The little farming town, it's charm and welcoming residents were a pleasant bonus. The host was a joy to get to know, and took time to give me a tour of their farm and explain/educate me personally on the daily activities and operations. She went out of her way, considering her busy life, to make sure my stay was a lovely experience. I look forward to returning if I am ever in the area again.

2 bedroom vacation home with lakefront views!

We arrived for a HS Graduation and needed to cut the trip short due to the potential early arrival of our grandson. The lake was peaceful. The house was cozy and we had plenty cookware and kitchen items available. Gene's grocery store was just minutes away with a large variety of food options. We plan to return, with enough time to kayak. Thanks for a great stay. We had a blast!

Kimberly's place was exactly what my family needed. It was comfortable, quiet, and clean. We loved having access to the kayaks. They were a lot of fun. The beds comfortable and the home itself is just adorable. I will definitely book the place again. A+++++++

Beautiful neighborhood with big yards and well kept homes. Reminded me of childhood. Very peaceful and the train noise is the distance was pleasant in my opinion. Very peaceful and homey. Stayed and extra night because I was not feeling well and was very comfortable there. Host very accommodating. Will definitely stay again on future trips.

The Hunters Lodge is located in the town of Attica, where you'll find a local restaurant and grocery market and just a few miles away from Anthony, Harper, Medicine Lodge and Zenda. Our older home is showing some age but, you will feel right at home! This is rural Kansas at its finest. 🙂 Please note: No WiFi or Cable. Train tracks close by however past guests do not mind. 😊 Please reach out with any questions! We’d love to host you!
