The house where the farmer used to live with his family has been converted into a comfortable apartment with a spacious living room and open kitchen downstairs, overlooking the meadows and the Wanswert church. The apartment is in personal style and fully furnished. Where possible, we have used second-hand furniture. Together with the piano and comfortable wood stove, a pleasant living climate is created. The apartment has a cozy private garden around it, a private front door and lots of privacy.

Unique views from your apartment and terraces. The large terraces on three sides of the house are all yours, so you can always find a space in the sun or in the shade. The west side has an amazing view of the IJsselmeer, the other sides have excellent views too. Two small beaches at walking distance. Free Wifi. For music enthusiasts there are Sonos speakers and 2 guitars available if you want to be a rock star. The train station is a 20-minute walk away. You will feel right at home.

From this perfectly located home base, everything is within reach. In the old hairdressing salon of the island, you can feel like an islander for a while. In the middle of the authentic village of Schiermonnikoog, you go back in time. You have your own terrace and entrance in front of our house. We enter through the back entrance. This gives you privacy. Shops and beach are within walking distance. Beds are made upon arrival, bicycles are ready. Enjoy!

Our house was built in 1912 and has been lovingly renovated in recent years. The guesthouse is located on the entire 2nd floor, which is lockable and offers a lot of privacy. It is a bright, comfortable, spacious floor with good WiFi connection. The decor is tasteful, with a nod to the seventies. Ideal location: you can walk to the center within 15 minutes and the Noorderplantsoen is a stone's throw away. North train and bus station is a 5-minute walk.
