There are many great restaurants within a couple of miles of our villa. We offer access to our private boat slip for bringing your own boat or renting a boat.

Renovated 1928 cottage on a former asylum campus

Into the macabre? Stay on the campus of what once was the largest mental asylum in the world. Stay in a fully renovated craftsman, 1920's cottage situated on the corner of a large pecan grove, across from the Central State Hospital infirmary. Walking, driving or trolly tours are available to learn all about the history of one of the nation's oldest and largest institutions for the mentally ill. Note: Buildings are closed to the public. There are no tours inside buildings.

It has a huge upper level outdoor terrace for dining, lounging and enjoying the view. This unit lives like a small apartment with open concept kitchen, dining and living room. The bedroom has a king bed, TV, French Doors to another balcony and an ensuite bathroom. 2 night minimum.

Eatonton is not far away with nice restaurants. The Crooked Creek Marina is close by if you are bringing your own boat. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking pans, etc. Keurig and regular coffee pot. Enjoy the fire pit, fishing, canoeing and hot tub - at our quiet Hidden Cottage.
