Come to experience our unique place! You can stay in what used to be a shop but which we have now converted into a accommodation unit. The old offices have turned into bedrooms and bathroom. Both bathroom and kitchen were installed in 2012 and are in order The shop room itself is now living/"museum". We have filled the shop shelves with items from the 50s up to today, so here you can really reminisce! Right outside the door there is a big dock you can fish from. Here are good hunting opportunities, as the island is teeming with grouse and hare.

The cabin lies in this beautiful vally in Øksfjord called Vassdalen. its surrounded by high mountains with many possibilities, in the summer there are many hiking trails of different difficulty and length. You can also fish in the freshwater about 80m from the cabin. In the winter you can start straight from the cabin to climb to high and wild mountains with lots of snow and extreme skiing, or you can walk in a light trail nearby.

This is a luxurious outdoor experience in raw Finnmark nature or sit inside in the living room watching the northerns lights through the large windows. If you come from abroad, the easiest way to get here is to fly to Alta and rent a car. Getting from Alta to Kokelv is about 2 hours. You can access by car to the front of the entrance area. The house contains 2 bedrooms with king size beds, 1 bedroom with 4 bunk beds and a TV room with a double sofa bed.

You get a decent place where you can get to sleep after a long trip downtown or if you can't get a hotel space in the center for those who don't care about the size of the room but get all the important things. Bus stop is at 300 m distance from the residence. 45 min to the hospital walking distance and many bike paths, 15 min to the airport walking distance ( about 1 km from the place of residence on summer time).
