Monthly Rentals in Halemaumau Crater

It far exceeded all my expectations for a "glamping" adventure. Loved every minute on the property. The five miles of secondary roads became a little taxing driving them every day for 30 nights stay. It's in the Rainforest, how much cooler could it be? I loved the entire island. I want to come back now, just 36 hours later. Thank you again Sharon!

Wonderful and peaceful space surrounded by jungle. We found ourselves spending a lot of time hanging out playing cards on the back lanai (porch) listening to the birds and coqui frogs. Tons of natural light in the home to wake you up when the sun comes up! Not too many restaurants around but that’s not a problem because the kitchen is stocked full of supplies to stay in and cook. The house is a mere 5 min drive to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. 5 stars!

Great spot close to Volcanoes National Park (~5 min drive to park entrance)! Spacious living space with all listed amenities. The property and the neighborhood felt peaceful and safe (we were able to go for a run one morning). The living room with the garage door did fluctuate a lot in temperature (a little warm when we arrived in the afternoon and quite cool in the morning) but the bedroom is separate / stayed a bit more consistent, and we were comfortable overall. No sink in the actual bathroom, but there is a small wall mounted mirror by the sink which is helpful. A large cooler of drinking water was also provided. Bedroom gave 'staying at grandma's house' vibes, but honestly the whole spot was a perfect retreat after a day exploring the park. Lots of volcano decor and even had local art for sale. Easy check-in, easy parking, clean and comfy space, proactive host. Would absolutely stay again.

This place serves its purpose. Out of the way very quite road. The froggs sing you to sleep:) Bed was very comfortable. The Black and white cat is so friendly, he loves people. Place was well presented. Appreciate staying there.
