Carlota, a renowned educator and tourism entrepreneur, arrived in Barichara in the mid-1990s and fell in love with the town and its people. She decided it would be her retirement place and bought a huge lot with the best view and in the best neighborhood in town, Santa Barbara, 5 blocks from the main park. There she built two beautiful and spacious houses. Enjoy House 2, which Carlota had for her guests, as much as they did until Carlota said goodbye in April 2025. Welcome!

The house was ranked as one of the best in 2019 by Axxis architecture magazine and won mention in the 2022 Architecture Biennial. The outdoor kitchen and pool area make cooking a social event. There is an authentic clay oven and barbecue for cooking over wood.
