We had a puncture when we were 30km away from the venue and we didn’t have roaming cellphones. As such we couldn’t tell Johan that we were stuck but on arrival at about 23:00 we couldn’t wait even 2 minutes at the gate before they opened for us. In the morning, Johan and his boys tried their best to get us a tyre around but unfortunately the nearest place was Windhoek which was far from Karansburg. Johan is a good man - thanks for your hospitality Johan!

This stay was a 10/10! Everything was above standard. The rooms were super clean, beds comfy & the entire room was so well thought out & stocked. All essentials were covered. Not to mention the FOOD - one of the most delicious home cooked meals I’ve ever had. Definately suggest booking dinner or breakfast. In future, this will definately be my go to stop over on road trips.

We had such an incredible stay here, in fact we stayed for an extra two nights. The room was perfect and such amazing value for money! We had dinner there twice and it was the best meals we’ve had in Southern Africa- the lamb was impeccable. Everyone was so lovely and honestly we had not a single a complaint or any feedback as it was all great! Also very easy to get to fish river from here!
