At the village - Mândră Ioană

A house built of natural materials, proudly built on a stone wall over which we placed old beams mostly recovered from a demolished barn in Sălciua, Alba County. The roof is made of mountain shingles because we value the way our ancestors used to work, the walls are varnished, wooden floors are on the floor, the furniture is made of old wood or gathered from the villages, and the house is heated by a wood-burning stove, the heart of the house.

It's not only a space for rent, is our 2nd home away from the crowded city! We refurbished this 50sqm apartment with love for our own holidays and we thought why not share it when we're busy? It's 5 minutes walking to the railstation/center and at the base of mountain trails to Postavaru and Diham. It is perfect for 1 family with 2 kids or 2 couples. La 200 de metri de locație se afla barajul si lacul de acumulare Maneciu. Statiunea Cheia este la 20 de km si ofera acces catre masivul Ciucas pentru doritorii de hiking.

Nestled in a peaceful spot just off the road, it gives you that feeling of a remote setting, being surrounded by greenery, and it offers stunning nature views through it's large windows. The Black Walnut House is designed for cozy winter days and evenings curled up by the fire.
