Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. Our small farm is located in the middle of nature. You'll like it for its cosiness, location, silence, and view. Our place is good for couples, families with kids. Option for extra beds in both rooms. We have lots of pet-friendly animals and baby animals, trampoline, rocking frame, sandbox and bonfire area. The farm was originally built in 1773, and most rooms are well over 100 years old so there are crooked doors and windows. We continuously improve the facilities.
