Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Greenbrier County

Aaron was a great host. Extremely responsive via text / phone call for a few questions we had about the house. The house itself was great. Very old with rustic charm which we loved. We really enjoyed sitting out on the front porch and the foliage was gorgeous in the front yard. Photos were very accurate. The only negative I would say is that the king bedroom on the front of the house that overlooks the main road is very loud, which was a little disruptive for sleep/ naps for our toddler even with a sound machine on. Beds were very comfortable and none of the other guests noticed the street noise because of their room locations were farther away. Town was very sleepy which is what we expected! We enjoyed the playground in walking distance, dinner out, lunch out, and the nearby brewery was fun. Boys went to a golf course nearby that was much cheaper than GB. Overall, we had a very enjoyable trip!

Exactly what we needed to land in Alderson for a few nights. Short drive up to Lewisburg for other sightseeing. Kitchen fully set up for our needs. Appreciated how responsive Kathy was and accommodating us where necessary. Very, very clean space, comfy sheets, and plenty of hot water. Would definitely stay again!

I am very particular about where I stay. We would definitely stay here again. This is a very old home with a lot of character. It was truly like staying at a friends house. Very cozy. There are 3 bedrooms and a comfy couch. The kitchen was easy to cook in. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean. The linens and towels are not brand new, which was a bonus because they were super soft and comfy. They were all clean and fresh and smelled wonderful. The beds and couch were very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the Wii U. Karen was more than helpful and was super attentive and happy to help us with anything we needed. I was concerned that with it being a pet friendly rental that it would smell like dogs but it definitely did not. The trains do come by often. If you wear ear plugs they won't bother you at all. Honestly we enjoyed them. They are close enough to see and hear but not so loud that they hurt your ears. Our kids and family definitely recommend this rental.

The time spent at Sunny Retreat was such a vibe. It was quiet and peaceful. Lewisburg was a nice town to explore; from the waterfalls, state parks, and resturants.

A wonderful, well-appointed home. In perfect location for riding Greenbrier River Trail and walking distance to shops and restaurants.

We loved the Yurt-like Treehouse!!! The views were stunning! Our hosts were very responsive and welcoming, and gave clear instructions. The towels and bed linens were spotless. The beds were very comfortable & the area was very quiet, which combined into good sleeping for all! There was plenty of parking available if you have more than one car along. It was a great place for a getaway!

If I had to describe this Airbnb, I’d call it one of the more thoughtful I’ve ever stayed in - both in being well-considered, and being genuinely comforting. From cookies for myself and my party, and Andes mints on the beds, to USB flashlight bars by the couch and fire-starting supplies, the little touches added up. The kitchen was stocked with what many places overlook: oil, Pam, sharp knives, and even Tupperware. There were more than enough towels and pillows, there were bedside tables with outlets on top, and full-length mirrors. The stairs down to the fire pit were lit, which made evenings by the water feel easy and welcoming. The three season room was wonderful, as well, for those of us who attract some bugs, but enjoy the sound of the nearby rapids, and wind. The home was spotless, peaceful, and perfectly located for a visit to the nearby National Park (New River Gorge). The host was also very responsive - when we had a question about the dishwasher, they replied within minutes!

Great location with spectacular reviews. Wifi in the house could be improved as signals are pretty weak. Enjoy our time here every year and look forward to being back in 2026.

This place was amazing. Really enjoyed our time here. The house is very nice and location is awesome. Would definitely come back again!

We enjoyed swimming and snorkeling in the pool and lake, soaking in the hot tub and sweating in the sauna. We enjoyed long hikes with a puppy and challenging bike rides. The Kayaking was awesome with or without a fishing pole. We cooked dinner every evening at the lake kitchen as the sun was setting and played board games until midnight. It was an awesome vacation! Thank you so much Rick, and caretakers, Mark and Tyler, for all of your hard work and excellent communication. You provided everything we needed to enjoy a secluded, peaceful vacation, and we are looking forward to returning to Dawson Lake in August.

We loved the location and proximity to what we wanted to explore. The cabin itself is great! Very secluded and well cared for. The deck is especially nice, but it rained nearly the entire time we were there, so not a lot of coverage. We loved the fire pit! The house was nice and as described, however, it's very very noisy, which we did read in reviews after the fact. If you're looking for a quiet place to nap, sleep, etc. vs a base camp for hiking and entertaining, it's a challenge. Although the cabin is adorable, it's very very noisy / creaky. You hear every little movement, everywhere. We didn't use the bunk house. The cabin stayed cool and we had plenty of hot water (3 of us) at all times. They also supply plenty of linens & towels which is very nice. Our favorite thing was the deck. Very large and nice to hang out. The cabin is also very quiet (outside) with lots of nature sounds and beautiful magnolia trees all around. The hosts are both great and helpful.

Wonderful stay, went there with family and we felt right at home. The hosts were amazing, responsive, and there was lots to do. The creek was great to jump into, perfect for a weekend and wished we stayed for longer!

Great place for a nice get away for a few days. The space was perfect, a nice size and all the back up supplies were extremely thoughtful. I pray I am able to come back!

Blair is a super kind and friendly host. Hillsboro is an awesome spot. Multiple quick access points to the Greenbriar rail trail with Jack Horners Corner and Seebert 5 mins away as well as Beard which is a great place to get in or out for a float or just be lazy in the water. And you HAVE to dine at the Hillsboro Public House just a few blocks away. Thank you Blair for your hospitality, my son and I had a great weekend road trip.

Bobby’s place is an incredible find right on the Jackson River! We were in the area for a family reunion holiday weekend and the cabin was just what we needed for a home away from home. The area is quiet, absolutely beautiful and the cabin was very clean, had a very comfortable living room, and the beds were super comfortable. Thank you Bobby!

This was our first time staying at an Airbnb, and it was fantastic! Amy was a great host very responsive and helpful. The rv was clean, the view was beautiful, and everything was just like described! I would gladly go back! Thank you so much for having us, Amy!

Thanks for the stay! This house was perfect for our group, very spaceous with a large kitchen and family room and the location could not have been any better. Less than a 5 minute drive to the Summersville parking lot, so if you are planning on going to the lake then look no further. Would love to stay here again sometime!

This cute farm house was great!! We enjoyed our stay and it was plenty of room for us. They had all the necessities and we enjoyed most of our meals there. It was so peaceful and we saw so many animals! The lake and kayaking was fun as well. We would definitely stay again.
