Welcome to your peaceful getaway nestled in the heart of the countryside, just steps from the scenic South Branch of the Potomac River. This freshly remodeled home blends rustic charm with modern comforts, offering a serene and stylish retreat for nature lovers, couples, families, or anyone seeking a relaxing escape. It is within 3 miles of C&O Canal, 17 miles from Historical Romney, 15 miles to Cumberland, MD and 10 miles to the Paw Paw, WV tunnel, 3 river access within 5 minutes of the house.

Oldtown Schoolhouse. C&O Canal Lock 70.

The space is an open concept classroom inside of an old school 500 yards from the C&0 Canal Lock 70. Guests of Lock 70 Schoolhouse enjoy the entire space of this open concept which includes 1 King Bed, 2 Bunk Beds, and a fully stocked coffee bar area with a microwave, water cooler and refrigerator and internet. A private bathroom with a hot shower awaits after your long day on the trail. Also housed in the school is a restaurant and a small store (owned by a separate party, closed on Mondays.)

Oldtown Guesthouse

This two bedroom house is situated on a 1.3 acre lot, located right off Maryland 51. Whether you're just passing through or in the area to explore local attractions, this is a great resting spot. The Paw Paw tunnel, historic downtown Cumberland, C&O canal towpath, and more are all located within 15 miles. There’s hiking, biking, canoeing, and fishing options within a few miles of the house or stay at the house and enjoy a quiet getaway. There’s a few books, games and a roku tv for your use.

1832 Historic Washington Bottom Farm Log Cabin

Welcome to our renovated 1832 Log Cabin on the grounds of the George William Washington and Sarah Wright Washington 19th century plantation. The cabin was the first structure built. Then came barns and slaves’ quarters (no longer standing). The dairy barn is now a woodworking shop and the bank barn was recently restored. The main house, built in 1835, is Greek Revival style. Today, our 300+acre is Certified Organic. We border the South Branch of the Potomac River. It’s ALMOST HEAVEN !

Literal steps from the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, the Great Allegheny Passage trail & the Historic City Center, with a wide array of local shops and eateries.
