Mary was a fantastic host. She was quick to send a welcome message and quick to make sure everything met our needs. She left some delicious homemade cookies for us on the kitchen table. The house was exactly as shown and suited our needs perfectly. The neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors were friendly and respectful of our privacy. I would recommend this house to anyone visiting Hill City.

Hunting weekend with buddies, great little house in quiet location. Easy to get to, plenty of room to spread out and relax.

We had a wonderful stay at Smith's Horse Barn. The Barn is completely renovated and uniquely decorated. We enjoyed the combination of old and new touches and the peaceful surroundings. It is easily accessible from the main road and we were able to find good hunting spots close by. Mary was very responsive and had helpful suggestions for getting around in the area. Like many others, we enjoyed the delicious cinnamon rolls. We would love to come back and share this treasure with the rest of our family. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

I highly recommend staying here. This property is impeccably clean and sanitary. There is not a spec of dust anywhere inside. I have horrible allergies to dust mites and animals so I truly appreciated this being such a clean property. I loved the appliances being new, modern, and easy to use. Margaret is the sweetest host and person to know. She was available during my entire stay and so welcoming. I would love to stay here again. One thing I would say is that the photos do not do justice to the property. It’s nicer than the photos suggest.

We loved the west cabin, 4 of us stayed and we had a great time! Mary was super helpful and the house was perfect for us. Everything was very clean and well kept. Will definitely stay again in the future.

Mary is an awesome and most gracious host. She had cinnamon rolls waiting for us which my father in law loved. Could not say enough about the wonderful accommodations and incredibly peaceful and picturesque setting it’s located in. Super convenient to town and tucked away behind an old orchard in the country.
