Family-friendly vacation rentals in Grad Hvar

Our family’s stay at Žarko’s place in Rudina was incredible. We felt right at home during our two week stay. The town of Rudina is quaint and lovely and we felt very welcomed by the locals. With Stari Grad just a short drive down the hill, it was very easy to get to the market, bakery, or restaurants when desired while still enjoying the peace and quiet of the hills outside of town. Our children enjoyed many days and evenings playing in the beautiful gardens. Žarko and his family are lovely hosts and we will surely come back to visit again someday.

If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would! This is the nicest airbnb we have ever stayed in! We did not want to leave. We were amazed that Mirko came to pick us up from the ferry port and dropped us off when we checked out, too (saving us 2 taxi rides!). He and Zrinka were so responsive and provided great local recommendations. They provided plenty of towels, including beach towels, and had everything in the kitchen that I would have at home. The walk into town was a 15- minute beautiful stroll along the coastline. It was close enough to the city center to get there walking, but far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful. There's a market right down the street that worked great for getting breakfast and lunch supplies. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to Hvar!

This was the most beautiful place. The views were breathtaking and the apartment was spacious and comfortable. Edi was a great host and very accommodating. We fell in love with Hvar and if we ever came back, this is where I’d want to stay!

This was one of our favourite stays in Croatia. The accommodation far exceeded our expectations. Spacious apartment, perfectly equipped, tastefully furnished and sparkling clean. Quietly located, with fantastic views of the sea. This accommodation is outstanding. Natali is a warm, helpful and reliable hostess. We hope that we can come back one day.

Biserka and her family were incredibly kind and hospitable to my friends and me and helped make our experience in Hvar magical :)). Not to mention her adorable puppy!!!! Would most definitely stay with her again if I make it back out to Hvar —highly recommend! And the balcony along with the insane view was awesome.

We have had a great time in beautiful Stari Grad! The villa is im a great location and extremely well equipped, with copious comfortable outdoor seating. Eva has been so helpful in local knowledge and even picked us up from the port and took us to the villa. The villa is in walking distance to stari grad which has a wide selection of bars and restaurants. We would highly recommend the villa and would like to thank Eva and Dragan for looking after us so well!!!

Nothing compares to the accommodations at this home. The hosts and cleaning staff were incredible and the home has to be one of the best options in Hvar.

Thanks for having us Tony. Tony assisted with a transfer of 10 guys to the private jetty in the cover avoiding the need for a taxi from town. The villa its self is a beautiful sun trap with all facilities required. The open fire/Bbq area was a manger plus from us. Town is a short ride via taxi for 20/30 euros (numbers dependant) Great Airbnb, would recommend

Margita’s place was great for us— very close to the main strip on Hvar town, but just far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. I spent 1 morning on the patio reading, and it was lovely. The washing machine works well. AC works well. Shower works well. I would recommend this place and I would stay again.

There was a parking space, and the host lived right next door and it was so nice to communicate. Very friendly, no noise, and the accommodation was so pleasant and nice. If I go to Hvar again, I want to visit again. The accommodation is really well-maintained. Toilets, bedrooms, and kitchens!!

Lidija was wonderful to work with. Her property was pristine and in the heart of Hvar. It was a perfect location!

Marija was the best host ever. She welcomed us at the door and helped us feel right at home. The apartment and view were spectacular and sooo close to everything in town. Spotless and modern with all the perfect little touches. Marija even helped us book a taxi across the island and saved us money. We loved our visit and will happily stay here again next time we come to Hvar!!

A fabulous apartment which was perfect for us. Having your own beach shared with the other apartments was perfect. About 25 minute walk into Hvar. We had a lovely time - we are at the nearby pizzaria where the food and views were amazing. We visited mlini beach by water taxi which was great. The hotel next door does lovely coffee. Our favourite bar Falkos was about a 10 minute walk. So many restaurants in Hvar it’s hard to choose. Shop nearby with all basics. Nira is a great host and very responsive. Would recommend this place if you want a relaxing beach stay just outside of the busy town.

It was a beautiful stay and closely located to gorgeous beaches and the port. Ivana was very responsive and friendly. The Air BnB was very spacious and had great facilities. The tea available was a lovely feature. I highly recommend this place for a memorable stay in Hvar 💛

I highly recommend this accomodation to anyone. We were super comfortable here and the balcony was Everything 🙌. The view and location is perfect. Car space right at your door. The bed was super comfy too. Kids were happy is a seperate room with the sofa bed. Very clean also. We will definitely return in future. The two Aircon’s are great. We Loved our stay 😊

The apartment is very nice and super comfortable. It has a beautiful terrace to enjoy the sunset. The hosts are very friendly. Highly recommended!

Lana was a fabulous host she responded quickly to my messages and had lots of restaurant recommendations, we also enjoyed the use of the bikes. The accommodation was stunning with a large pool area that was very private. The views from the apartment were beautiful looking up at the fort. The location was perfect it is only a short walk from the docks, restaurants and supermarket. If we were to come back to Hvar we would definitely be rebooking Villa Flora!

We had the most wonderful stay at villa bella. The photos do not do it justice, it has the most breathtaking views. It’s so well priced seeing as it has the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen. The villa was completely spotless, spacious and so homely. We all really enjoyed our stay here. Filip is the most amazing host! I stayed with my grandparents, they arrived before me, Filip picked my grandparents up from the ferry and settled them in. He also went above and beyond, took them food shopping, helped them book taxis and the ferry back. He also met my husband and I at the ferry and helped us to a taxi. He was here early morning every morning to clean the pool. I was always asleep but my nan was normally up and she loved their little chats, she thinks he’s wonderful! He also brought croissants He is honestly so amazing and so kind and really goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect.

Before we arrived, we spoke with Spomenka daily, she was very quick with responding. This was our first time in Hvar, and we will definitely return next year. Not just for Hvar, but for the warm welcome and homely feel that Spomenka gave us. She is truly a terrific host! So kind, so welcoming, she was like our mom❤️ The apartment we stayed was amazing, great location, great amenities through out, and local shops and restaurants are in 5mins of a walk. Her apartments deserve nothing but respect, because she respects everyone who stays. You’re not a tourist when you stay with spomenka, you’re are like family. She organises your taxi fair (at a very reasonable price). J&B holiday homes are they way to go when booking a place in Hvar, the atmosphere of Spomenka’s place really made our holiday so much better. I know her dad looked after the flowers, but Spomenka and her daughter are truly making an effort to keep his candle lit! On vas sve gleda odozgo s velikim osmijehom! Puno ljubavi ❤️

Great Airbnb in Hvar, close to the harbour, restaurants and beaches. Really clean and useful to have a small kitchen in the apartment for breakfast! Nice pool area up a few steps from this apartment, great to lay for a few hours & chill. Doris and Tonko are great hosts and were very responsive.

Mario’s villa was the perfect escape for my group of friends. The home is tucked away on a very private street close to the main attractions on the island. Everything we needed was provided by Mario such as towels, soap, as well as plates, glassware, etc. for a meal at home. I highly suggest you book the private chef that Mario recommends - it wound up being one of the best meals of our trip, if not ever. The pool and backyard was perfect for lounging in the sun. I could not be more satisfied with our stay, it was truly an amazing experience that will not be forgotten. If you don’t rent a car, I would suggest bringing comfortable shoes as you need to walk up and down hill to get to and from town.

Great, very well maintained apartment with private pool. Highly recommended. Very friendly welcome. It is better to park at the beginning of the street as it is very narrow and you can hardly turn there.

So tranquil! Infinity pool has a great view. Perfect landscape to wake up to! Really helpful host who helped sort taxis (if you don't have a hire car this will be a must). Accommodation as described and super clean. Powerful air con, but rooms really cool so barely needed it. Comfy bed.
