The "haus in spay" is a historic half-timbered house, built around 1545 in the Moselle village of Zell-Merl. It is located not far from the river at the foot of a sun-drenched southern slope on the Moselle, the famous wine region with unique Riesling cultivation and Mediterranean culture. The monumental ensemble with the main house, the vacation home and steep garden was extensively restored in just under 10 years of construction and mainly in-house according to ecological and traditional criteria.

The house is at the narrowest point of Starkenburg, so that you can enjoy the distant view towards the Mosel river and the beautiful Ahringstal. The holiday home is located about 900 meters from the historic old town of Bernkastel. You can reach it on foot in about 15 minutes via an adjacent footpath/cycle path directly on the Moselle or a forest hiking trail, which is also directly adjacent to the accommodation. In the old town there are numerous restaurants, bakeries, a small grocery store and other shops. In the Kues district you will also find an Edeka, Rewe, Aldi or Lidl.
