We were looking for a peaceful place to stay for a few days on the Maine Coast this fall. This home was perfect. We were very comfortable from the minute we arrived. We especially enjoyed the deer and turkeys in the back yard every day. If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay near a working harbor and a short drive to the Schoodic area of Acadia this is a near perfect home.

definitely recommend! it was nice to have the “camping experience” but still have a comfy bed to sleep on & be close by to stores! the location is nice too because the tent feels excluded but you’re right in winter harbor so walking distance to shops/restaurants. if you go i highly recommend walking to the gallery restaurant, close by & had the best lobster roll i’ve had for only $24, the rest of their food/drinks are delicious too and super reasonable prices.

Brendan and Reagan were great hosts! They were very friendly and responsive but also respected our privacy. The cottage is just as beautiful as the pictures. The bed was comfortable and the entire space was spotless! There is a stream near the cottage and the beach is breathtaking! The area is so peaceful. We wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely stay there again!

This home is absolutely stunning and provides peaceful scenery on the water in a comfortable setting. The house was impeccably clean and the host was so responsive and helpful. She even let us know when there was a wind advisory in the area! We had a fabulous stay and would return again and again! As Mandy stated, make sure to plan for 30 minutes to 1 hour for Acadia entrance depending on your entrance point and traffic. Highly recommend this place for a great Maine stay! It was a-Maine-zing!!!!

"Kelp" Dome at Historic Waterfront Cannery Site

Very cool yurt on a kelp farm! Right on the water and the chairs overlooking the bay for the sunset was worth the couple nights in itself. Trey is there to meet you and show you around the property. There were also very friendly property dogs that loved to say hello! The bathroom and shower were in a separate building but was clean and just a few feet from the yurt. There were windows in the yurt that make for a nice breeze through the yurt. The kitchen amenities made making coffee and heating up food a breeze. The host had great information about trails in the area and food recommendations.
