Bungalow vacation rentals in Golfo Dulce

Wir sind kurzentschlossen auf der Suche nach dem authentischen CR unserem Gefühl gefolgt. Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Anfahrt war spektakulär aber mit dem Allrad Jeep machbar, incl der Flussdurchfahrungen. Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und während unseres gesamten Aufenthaltes aufmerksam und unaufdringlich behandelt . Die Lage ist ein Traum und wir fanden die Tage dort waren unsere schönsten in CR.

Ein wunderschöner, naturnaher Aufenthalt! Die Unterkunft liegt ruhig mit privatem Strand – perfekt zum Entspannen und Natur erleben. Wir haben viele Papageien gesehen und ein nahegelegenes, unscheinbares Restaurant bietet überraschend gutes Essen. Ein 4×4 Geländewagen ist für die ca. 40-minütige Schotterstraße zur Unterkunft absolut notwendig. Die Unterkunft ist einfach, aber sauber, hat alles Wichtige (kaltes Wasser, Ventilator, Strom bis ca. 22 Uhr). Es gibt keine Fenster, dafür aber überall Fliegengitter und Gardinen – also gut geschützt. Nachts kann es im Zimmer warm werden. Aaron, der Manager der Unterkunft, war sehr freundlich, jederzeit erreichbar und hat uns eine romantische Sunset Kanutour organisiert. Frühstück war lecker und wurde bei Bedarf auch sehr früh serviert, z. B. vor unserer Corcovado-Tour. Ideal für Naturliebhaber! Wer hohen Komfort erwartet, sollte sich auf das Abenteuer einstellen oder nur 1–2 Nächte bleiben. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiter!

Wow, dit overtrof al mijn verwachtingen! Super aardige ontvangst door Thomas en Anna. De cabins staan op een werkelijk enorm landgoed, direct aan het prive strand (met goede golven om te surfen), een eigen waterval en ze hebben een eigen restaurant waar de koks ontbijt, lunch en diner klaarmaken. Ze hebben er een surfboard rental waar je veel verschillende boards kan huren en ze organiseren veel verschillende tours. Kortom, ik werd van alle gemakken voorzien. Ik ga hier zeker terugkomen!

Surf’s up! Great location—just a short walk to the point and very quiet. The property is well maintained, and the unit was exactly as described, with a fully stocked kitchen. Each unit has its own AC, which was a plus. The caretaker, Andres, was helpful, and the hosts were communicative. We’ll definitely be returning soon! --- Let me know if you'd like it made more casual or formal!

The cabin was clean, surrounded by lush fruit trees and beautiful plants. The sounds of nature filled the air throughout the day and was like therapy for me. The people were friendly and very welcoming. The food was delicious and the service was great. The beach was a short walk from where I stayed, which was perfect for my morning meditations. I look forward to visiting again.

Wir waren zwei Nächte bei Johanna und Manuel und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Alles ist wie beschrieben und gut ausgestattet, die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral und ist in 10 min zu Fuß vom Strand erreichbar. Manuel hat uns sehr kurzfristig (in der Hochsaison) eine Tour in den Nationalpark organisiert und war dabei sogar unser Guide. Man spürt, wie sehr er diesen Beruf und den Nationalpark liebt und wir haben wirklich viele Tiere gesehen und viel gelernt.

Die Lodge von Silvina ist top. Unsere Vorstellungen wurden weit übertroffen. Man bekommt ein richtig tolles Naturerlebnis. Wir haben dort sehr viele Tiere gesehen ohne eine Guide Tour unternehmen zu müssen. Unsere Unterkunft war sehr sauber und wurde auch jeden Tag gereinigt. In der Küche hatte man genug Platz für seine eigenen Lebensmittel. Silvina hat uns tolle Tipps für Unternehmungen gegeben. Man kann in der Umgebung sehr viel kostenlos unternehmen. Wir fanden die Lodge so toll, dass wir unseren Aufenthalt verlängert haben und wir werden mit Sicherheit nächstes Jahr wiederkommen. Die Lodge ist eine absolute Empfehlung.

We had a wonderful stay at Los Contingas Lodge! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The location is great—just off the beach on the main road, slightly up a hill. We arrived by boat from Sierpe, which was a fun experience, but be prepared to get your feet wet when landing on the beach. The stairs up to the lodge are a bit of a climb, but the view at the top is worth it. Breakfast and dinner were always delicious—highly recommend the quesadilla and one of their fresh smoothies! Our room was very clean with great water pressure, and we loved the open upstairs balcony and kitchen. The view was slightly obstructed by another lodge, but still beautiful. If an unobstructed view is a must, consider one of the other rooms. Would definitely stay here again!

Only book here if you like amazing views, privacy, peaceful surroundings, wildlife, and want a wonderful vacation 😀 I can not recommend the treehouse more. The location is beautiful, we saw so many birds including scarlet macaws, toucans, and hawks, as well as monkeys, a coati, and an anteater. It was a truly magical spot to stay. The beach is rugged but beautiful, and a good workout to get to! The views from the bedrooms and shower are second to none. The caretakers Didier and Jackie were so helpful, and we had dinner cooked by Jackie that was delicious. We booked a tour, and our guide Milton was great - so knowledgeable and kind. The driveway had some tricky spots following an extra rainy wet season (jungle life!) but Ariane was very responsive and helpful and Didier helped us out. Definitely get a 4x4 (as stated in the listing). Again, I couldn’t give a better review, we loved it here!

This cabin is super nice!! Amazing comfortable bed, small kitchen with all you need, nice bathroom with hot water, an outdoor shower, and a big deck with a dining table. It also has AC! We were really impressed with the space!! It’s also possible to drive right up to the cabin, which made arrival and departure easy. Susana was really responsive and made sure we had all we needed for our stay. It’s good to note a few things. Susana’s place is a part of a larger property with lots of accommodations so it can get quite busy. The cabin was up the hill and away from the main area, which we really appreciated. The bar on the property played really loud music. We couldn’t hear it at the cabin, but it was quite loud during the night walk. The restaurant has good food but very limited hours and only one option of meals, which you have to order 2 hours in advance so we were happy to have a kitchen!

Une fabuleuse cabinas propre et bien organisée avec sa petite cuisinette sur terrasse devant les singes et toucans. Lit king confortable. Bien située sur une finca sécuritaire pour découvrir le secteur entre Pavones (surf) et Zancudo (belle plage) et près de Golfito et Paso Canoas. Moins de 10 minutes des plages. Christophe est très disponible comme hôte.

Staying at Ocean Forest is a magical experience. We didn't know much about it when we booked, we took a chance and we had the most wonderful stay. It is a place of rare beauty and harmony. It is a place for people who like to be somewhere remote and private. The cabins are built gorgeously and they are very comfortable in a very simple way. This is not a place for people who want a TV and air conditioning. There is WiFi near the communal area and it works very well. The hosts are wondeful, super kind and accommodating. We felt privileged to be able to spend these few days in the gorgeous place they built and look after. As it is remote, you have the possibility to eat on site and the food is lovely and home made, with lovely fresh products. The atmosphere in the spacious cabin is magical, watching and listening to the nature all around. You can also walk up the hill and watch the most beautiful sunset or watch it from the beach, right there! Even if it is quite remote, all the tours we booked were happy to come and pick us up by boat on the next beach; a 15 min walk across the most beautiful beach and bit of forest. After a couple of weeks being on the road and changing places almost every night, Ocean Forest was the perfect place to pause and regroup for a few days. This was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip and its beauty will stay with me for a long time. Many many thanks to Eli, Monica and Jonathon! x

This was a remarkable place to stay. We enjoyed the openness of the space, falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the forest(insects, birds, frogs, and howler monkeys) and just the overall peacefulness. I didn't find it all that difficult to find, it was pretty straightforward and the road wasn't bad for being a dirt road. I'm honestly surprised how clean it was considering it's all open to the forest. It was a pretty area and we watched birds and other animals while laying in the hammocks. Also, a tour from a local guide recommended by Zéphirin was fantastic. We learned so much about the flora and fauna. Zulay provided us with great, simple cuisine at the restaurant. We wished we could've stayed longer! The bugs weren't a problem, but we did pick up a lot of ticks hiking through forest, so be aware of this. Thanks Zéphirin for sharing this wonderful place with us!

Exceeded our expectations! Fenced in with gated entry so felt very safe. We enjoyed the private outdoor shower, hammock, and outdoor dining area. Everything was super clean and comfy. Friendly dogs cruise the property, and private gated river access is a plus. Will definitely stay here next time we visit Pavones!

Our stay at Yoann’s place was absolutely amazing. Everything about our vacation was perfect — from the warm welcome, to the exceptional location, the kindness of the staff, and the thoughtful services provided. The on-site restaurant was also a highlight, offering delicious traditional local dishes made with fresh ingredients from both the sea and the land. A special thank you to Mario, Yoann, Kenia, and Wendy — truly the most memorable and wonderful people we met during our time in Costa Rica! Pura Vida!
