Idyllic Storvik is a small village at the end of Nordland coast in the middle of Saltstraumen and Svartisen. The surroundings are oceans, mountains, sandy beach and fishing waters. Here you can stay in the old grend school that we in our family have converted into a modern apartment. There are several marked hiking trails in the area. They range from very light, to more advanced trips for real "mountain goats". If you would rather relax on the beach and enjoy nature in the distance it is fully possible from the 1.5 km long sandy beach.

At Stia you can stay in scenic and tranquil surroundings with views of the fjord and mountains. Here you can enjoy silence under the starry sky and northern lights, or simply have lazy days on the beach "Stia" located just below the cottage. You can also enjoy the hot tub in summer as well as winter. If you want speed and excitement, there are many possibilities: Alpine hiking in Glomfjord, walking on Svartisen, skiing in the Meløy Alps, island hopping along the Helgeland coast and more. The apartment is located on the venerable Jæra in Glomfjord, here you can find tranquility with a lighthouse in the fireplace and enjoy a fantastic view with fjord and mountains as your closest neighbors. Sitting inside enjoying good food and drink while the wind blows at its worst outside. Or you can take the trip out and experience fresh Northern Norwegian air and nature up close in all kinds of weather. Here it is a short way to the fjord and mountain water for those who want to try their fishing luck or just go for a long walk.

Nice cabin (60 m2 + loft) for rent on a weekly basis. The cottage is located close to tourist information on Holand, and only 1 km from the crossing to Svartisen. Bedroom 1: double bed, Bedroom 2: two single beds Loft w/ 3 sleeping places. Bathroom w/ washing machine, shower, toilet. Open living room/kitchen w/ stove, fridge, dining table, sofa group, wireless internet and TV (Canal digital). Terrace with seating area, great view and barbecue. Short distance to great hiking opportunities in the area.

Imagine waking up to an amazing view with all the privacy you could imagine, overlooking the fjord surrounded by the mountains. Cuddle in under warm blankets in the evening, let your heart rate slow down and enjoy the crisp air and the spectacular Norwegian nature. Travel back in time without electricity, and spend the night with water only from the stream and an outdoor toilet.

Family cottage in a great location and view

Great cabin for a family trip or a walk with your girlfriend. Peaceful and quiet in lovely surroundings. The cabin is about 1h and 15min away from Bodø Good cabin standard with running well water, hot water and shower. The toilet is indoors in the bathroom and bio toilet type. Private barbecue area where the fireplace can be enjoyed in both rain and sun. Wood is brought or can be purchased by the host for NOK 200 per 40l sack

Svartisen Northern light

Welcome to Svartisen Northern light. The cabin is located by the seaside and has a private dock. You can also find a telescope inside the cabin, and during the winter this is the place to observe the Northern lights when the sky is clear. The boat to Svartisen are approximately 400 m away from the cabin, so this is a perfect place to start glacier hiking. If you like fishing there is fishing gear available.
