“Absolutely would recommend this stay! The place had such character and I loved it. The hosts were kind, easy to talk to, and very accommodating! There are also outside cats that are super cute and friendly! But honestly the space was just really cute and comfy and I loved staying there!”
Our little house on the hill is conveniently located and recently renovated on the inside. It has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath to offer, with a fully stocked kitchen, dining space, and a nice size living space. It is less than 2 minutes away from interstate access and centrally located to all the fun there is to do in southern West Virginia. If you're in town for rafting, skiing, hiking, the Spartan, Boy Scouts, or just passing through, this is the place for you. This is a pet/smoke free home.
“We loved our stay here. It’s a very comfortable, sparkling clean house with impeccable decor. The beds and sheets were quite comfortable, which is important in my book! Della was an excellent host. It’s a short drive to the outdoor beauty of the New River Gorge, and minutes from the many dining options of Beckley. Over all, our family of 3 had no complaints at all, and would definitely stay here again.”
Situated only 3 miles from downtown Fayetteville and within 15 min of trails, rivers, and climbing, this idyllic space makes you feel like you are in your own little ecotopia. The yurt sits on two secluded acres surrounded by gardens and forest. It is built eco-friendly complete with a composting toilet which is incredibly easy to use. Large windows are situated to allow natural sunlight and cross breezes and the dome in the center of the roof lets you sleep under the stars at night.
“I’ve been eying up this yurt for a couple years and now seemed like the perfect time to go. The yurt was easy to find and in a very convenient location- close to hikes, restaurants, stores, and tourist attractions. We were expecting a tiny space but the yurt was pretty spacious and very comfortable. All the basic amenities were there, and we were glad to get away without the distraction of a television! The kitchen had just enough pots and pans and dishes. The fridge was full sized. We were impressed with the washer and dryer we- we were able to wash all our clothes and go home with no dirty laundry! Erin was available and accommodating and didn’t make us feel like our questions were bothering her at all. One thing we were a little nervous about was the composting toilet- a covered bucket with a fancy toilet seat- but it was totally fine and didn’t smell(!). In case you’re worried about it, there is a second, outdoor toilet in back. We had an amazing time in the yurt and we will definitely stay there again. The area of WV was gorgeous and the whole trip was incredible.”
