Come stay in stunning Connemara! #2

ElodieRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had a very pleasant night at Mairead and Dennis' place. The accommodation had everything we needed and the bed was really good quality, which was very appreciable after the long hike we did. The accommodation is conveniently located about a 10 minute drive to the famous Connemara Lakes. We had the opportunity to chat with Dennis at breakfast. He's a very kind and friendly person. In addition, he is a very good painter, he was able to decorate his house with great taste. I highly recommend their accommodation, don't hesitate. Ronnie (their dog) is also a very nice boy. Thanks again!

Abbeyglen Castle Hotel Economy Room

Staying at Abbyglen was a magical experience. Brian and the staff made me feel very welcome and everyone was super friendly. I had a wonderful meal at the restaurant and breakfast was a treat every morning. The prosecco reception added an extra something that made my stay even better. Even though I was travelling solo, I never felt alone. Walking distance from Clifden center, easy bus connections to Connemara National Park. Rented a bike and cycled the Sky Road. The room is very comfortable, with a beautiful ensuite bathroom. Don't forget to have a drink at the piano bar in the evening, and enjoy the live music and amazing atmosphere!

Imelda is a super friendly and amenable host, we arrived quite late but Imelda was absolutely great about it and was able to give us helpful advice on where to eat prior to arriving. Would highly recommend and would be very happy to stay again if ever in this part of the world again.

Clifden Farmhouse - Room only (1)

AlexisRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
If I could give 100 stars I would. Mary is the sweetest woman I have ever met and her bnb is just as lovely. The rooms are fantastic; clean, bathroom en suite, and tea/coffee. The breakfast she provides was easily my favorite thing about the farmhouse, other than the cheerful company😁. Mary is a wonderful local guide and we loved hearing about her childhood in Ireland. If you get the opportunity to stay here, you should consider yourself very lucky. Thank you Mary!

Catherine went all out to make sure I had a great stay, everything from recommending sights, offering a cup of tea after a long day's walk, to lighting a fire in the guest living room so I could relax by the fire. A great stay.
