Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Gjirokastër

We cannot say enough about this apartment and the host's grandparents who live below the unit. The space was roomy and clean and very comfortable, with outstanding views off the bedroom balcony. We were within easy walking distance of Old Town and New Town and all of teh great restaurants in Gjirokaster. Simon's relatives invited us for drinks and dessert one night and we spent over an hour laughing and sharing stories, all through Google translate as we do not speak Albanian. They then brought us freshly baked donuts the night before we left. Their hospitality was extraordinary!

Nice shady, plant covered terrace. Inside was spacious and comfortable and well supplied with toiletries, kitchen equipment etc. The garage to park in was very useful for our small car. Check in worked very well, the properties cleaner was there to welcome us with Kristina on the phone to pass on information required in English. Quietly situated, close to amenities with a walk up to the old part of town, taxis are easily available if you don't want to walk. Lots to see and do in Gjirokaster, castle, bazaar, museums, bars and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.

Eine tolle und schöne Wohnung direkt unterhalb der Burg. Leider waren wir nur eine Nacht da und damit zu kurz, um die vielen Möglichkeiten zu erkunden. Die Wohnung ist wirklich groß und toll geschnitten. Dazu ist sie sehr nett eingerichtet und die Küche ist super ausgestattet. Besonders schön ist der große Balkon über zwei Seiten, mit einer tollen Aussicht und wunderbarer Morgensonne. Es ist am besten Richtung Stadion zu fahren und von dort in die „Rruga Doktor Vasil Laboviti“ einzubiegen. Für uns war es zunächst schwierig, die Wohnung zu finden. Positiv hervorheben möchte ich auch, dass wir mit zwei Autos vor der Tür parken konnten. Wir kommen gerne nochmal und dann gerne auch länger.

Een prachtige villa met een fijne keuken. De majeure slaapkamer met ensuite was heerlijk. Zeer vriendelijk ontvangst door familie van de eigenaar. Geen adres beschikbaar daarom via een lokaal café de sleutel verkregen. Heerlijk strand om de hoek en heel fijne restaurantjes. Geen grote supermarkt in de buurt.

Le logement de Sonija correspondait à la description. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillit par le père de Sonija et sa famille. Très belle plage à proximité (sauf quelques déchets qui semblent être assez present dans toute l albanie). Vue exceptionnelle depuis le logement. Quelques petits commerces à proximité ainsi que de très bons restaurants qui peuvent paraître simple mais où nous avons très bien mangé ! Très bonne communication avec Sonija, réponses rapides et claires. Les voisins rencontrés sont authentiques et même si nous ne pouvions pas communiquer à cause de la langue, il y avait toujours un sourire ! merci encore sonija !!

Our family of four stayed one night on Thimjo's & Rita's Gues House in Gjirokaster, Albania, and cannot express enough how satisfied we are with our stay. Great compliments to Rania, who is a super host! This rental unit is located in a very convenient location, only one-minute walk from the Pazar! Everything was of excellent quality! The cleanliness of the entire unit was perfect. The structure and layout of the facility is great, with spacious and comfortable beds and with super nice views from the windows and balconies. The arrangement of furniture is with super nice taste. The last but not the least, Rania is a great host! She cares very much for her customers and is always reachable and responsive to all the inquiries. We left that rental unit with a very "warm and good feeling" about this place! Well done!

Don't think about it. Just book this place now! This was exactly the kind of place I was looking for. I was staying in Sarande at a hotel prior to booking this place. The hotel was great but I wanted something closer to the REAL Albania. I found it here. I was actually surprised that I found this place on Airbnb. It was old school Airbnb...where someone opens up their home to you and you are able to experience the hospitality of the host or hostess. It's not your typical Airbnb place either. This is a typical family farm that is found in so many places in eastern Europe. It is not the kind of farm you would find in Canada or the US that are hundred of acres in size. The home is situated on about 0.5 acres or 0.2 hectares of land surrounded by the typical rock walls you find surrounding many homes in Albania. What kind of animals do you find here? Chickens, sheep, goats, rabbits and even ducks. Yes, there is a garden for vegetables and grape vines throughout the property. Please don't think this a petting zoo farm... this is a working family farm that provides food for the family and you if you stay here. It is a modest home that has been in the family for many years, it is on a plot of land that has provided the food and shelter for the family for countless generations. I have nothing but enormous respect for the hostess and her family. It was the kind of home that my parents grew up in Ukraine. This is what attracted me to this place. These people are salt of the earth. Humble, happy and proud. Respect. I could write a short book about my stay here. To sum up, it was wonderful. I have stayed at my fair share of Airbnb places, but this is my most favorite place ever. I did not want to leave and I do plan to return and stay much longer than the ~10 days I was there. What are the highlights of my visit? 1. The hostess Alexandra and her dear mother. Real people. 2. Coffee with fresh goat milk every morning. Yes, it's that good. 3. The sunrise in the valley. Breathtaking. 4. The amazing hikes up the mountain and in through the valley. There are so many ruins and hidden cool places to discover. 5. Taking the goats and sheep grazing in the morning. Yes I did that!!! 6. I'm not going to give it all away...book this place and I'll let you discover all the wonderful things here on your own. Alexandra and her mother don't speak English. This was not a problem at all. I downloaded the microsoft translator to my phone. It allows two people to communicate back and forth at the push of a button. It made communicating with the hostess very easy. I had many wonderful conversations with Alexandra and her dear mother many times using this translator. So you will be just fine. Look... this is a farm. It smells like a farm where the animals live and it has bugs...get over it. If you are looking for Disney World or the Ritz Carlton...look somewhere else. This place is perfect the way it is and I will be returning in the near future. The apartment is clean and well equipped. The internet works great. My cell phone worked just fine. It has a great stove for cooking and a washing machine to wash your clothes. It has a TV, but why would you watch TV when you are in such a wonderful environment to explore? There are places to buy groceries to cook food...OR...you can arrange with Alexandra to prepare meals for you each day. That is what I did. Breakfast and dinner. So I didn't have to cook or buy anything extra to survive. It's up to you. I chose to eat home cooked food from the farm...how can you beat that??? There is so much more to say...but... Don't think about it. Just book this place now!

Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und top ausgestattet. Perfekt mit Kindern! Die Lage hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen, nicht im Touri-Viertel, aber trotzdem ist die Burg zu Fuß erreichbar. Supermarkt direkt unten im Haus und alles andere in direkter Nähe. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Merci à nos hôtes (probablement les parents de Bledar) qui nous ont accueilli avec le sourire malgré nos changements d'horaire d'arrivée ! malgré la barrière de la langue nous avons réussi à nous comprendre grâce à des échanges avec les enfants ! Nous avons eu une coupure d'électricité dans la soirée qui a très vite été résolu avec tous les efforts de la famille. Le petit plus : c'est le petit déjeuner copieux qui n'est pas mentionné dans l'annonce mais qui est préparé aux petits soins le matin ! Merci à vous tous

Andreas Mama hat uns in diesem wunderschönen historischen Haus willkommen geheißen. Trotz Sprachbarriere war sie extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war niedlich eingerichtet und der Balkon lad zum verweilen ein. Die Lage des Hauses ist perfekt: ruhig und trotzdem sehr nah an der Altstadt, wo das Leben tobt. Einziges Manko: das Bett ist sehr hart.

Megi’s place was outstanding. It was spacious, spotless, very well equipped and very comfortable. The 2 bathrooms were useful as was the laundry room, which we made full use of. You can walk up the hill to the castle and better than trying to negotiate a car, or in our case push bicycles. I highly recommend this property. It is perfect.

I had a wonderful stay at this accommodation. The location was excellent – right in the heart of the city, allowing me to walk everywhere. Shops and supermarkets were just around the corner, and I always found parking available right outside the property. The area was very quiet, thanks to the independent entrance, which provided extra privacy. The apartment was spotless and the kitchen fully equipped with everything I needed. The sheets smelled incredibly fresh and clean, which made the stay even more pleasant. I especially enjoyed having my morning coffee on the convenient and cozy balcony. If I had to mention one small downside, it would be the absence of a welcome bottle of water or wine in the fridge, which would have been a nice touch. Other than that, everything was perfect and I would definitely recommend it!

Truly the best place I have been to in all of Dhermi. Jonida’s space is spotless, beautiful, and sizeable. Looks just like the photos! The driveway is a plus and makes getting to and from places easy. My family and I had a great time here. We felt peaceful and fully relaxed. Beautiful views and sunsets! Would 100% revisit again.

Absolute Empfehlung. Alles top. Man benötigt allerdings ein Auto um in Restaurants zu gelangen oder zum einkaufen. Top Strände zu Fuß innerhalb weniger Minuten erreichbar. Sofort wieder

Appartement super, très fonctionnel et moderne. Avec une super vue. Xhulio est très accueillant et réactif. Attention, avoir une voiture sur place est très recommandé car assez loin du centre-ville à pieds.

Zeker een aanrader! Erg mooi appartement, vriendelijke prijs! Zag er nieuw uit! Mooi uitzicht over de stad en zee. Beneden bij de bistro kun je ook fijn zitten en ontbijten. Aardige mensen!

Wunderschöne Unterkunft in Himarä. Man hat dort wirklich alles was man braucht und in Fußnähe! Wir haben uns von Anfang an wie Zuhause gefühlt, alles sah aus wie auf den Bildern. Wir können die Unterkunft absolut empfehlen 😊.

The apartment was so beautiful and perfect, it had everything you needed and such an amazing view overlooking the beach and Corfu. The apartment was close by to the pier and local restaurants. Zana was an amazing host and we were provided with a booklet with everything you needed, places to go, the location to tell the taxi drives and numbers to local drivers and tourist attractions. If I’m ever in Sarandë again, this is the place I would book, thank you Zana for an amazing birthday trip!!

This is a truly beautiful place that exceeded expectations. The apartment is spacious, well-furnished, and offers a fantastic sea view right from the balcony—perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or a sunset drink. The building also features a lovely, well-maintained pool that was clean and never too crowded during our stay. One of the highlights was the mini beach located just in front of the building, which made it incredibly convenient to take a quick swim or relax by the water without having to go far. Overall, a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, views, and direct access to the sea.

We had a fantastic stay at Grigor’s apartment in Saranda! The highlight was definitely the rooftop terrace—absolutely stunning views of the sea and the town, perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. The location couldn’t have been better—just steps from the water and within easy walking distance of all the best restaurants and bars. It was lively in the evenings, but that’s part of the charm of Saranda—and thankfully, everything quiets down by midnight, so getting a good night’s sleep wasn’t an issue at all. Check-in and check-out were incredibly smooth—no hassle whatsoever, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Saranda
