Vacation rentals with breakfast in Gjirokastër County

Olsi was very responsive thankfully, but best to know/ask how to get through each gate/door to come back in. We met his mother and she was very sweet! She even made us breakfast 😋 It is a grand, beautiful home with a gorgeous view. We wish we could have stayed longer! The trickiest part about this location is parking - nothing to do with the Airbnb itself!! Locals are, respectfully, relentless in trying to sell you a parking spot. We parked in someone’s driveway for 700 lek and it was still a struggle to get back down the hill. Overall we were very pleased with this accommodation! Thank you Olsi & family!

Although we arrived in the evening when it was dark already, Bjants mom took the time to give us a wonderful welcome, including some homemade treats in the impressive living room. The bedroom was cosy and tasteful with a comfy bed and everything you need. It was clean and the lovely grandmother served us a nice breakfast in the morning. It was a special experience to stay in such an old and traditional house and be hosted by Bjants family. Bjant was available at all times, replying instantly to any questions we had. I had a great time and if I were to return to the area I would definitely consider coming back here. The accommodation is near the center of Permet, there are the main amenities and the location is quiet. Shanas' grandmother welcomed us, a delightful person who speaks only Albanian. There were minor glitches, plumbing issues, and no blinds or curtains for the night. As negligible things , overall the judgment remains very positive . Thanks and see you next time

Don't think about it. Just book this place now! This was exactly the kind of place I was looking for. I was staying in Sarande at a hotel prior to booking this place. The hotel was great but I wanted something closer to the REAL Albania. I found it here. I was actually surprised that I found this place on Airbnb. It was old school Airbnb...where someone opens up their home to you and you are able to experience the hospitality of the host or hostess. It's not your typical Airbnb place either. This is a typical family farm that is found in so many places in eastern Europe. It is not the kind of farm you would find in Canada or the US that are hundred of acres in size. The home is situated on about 0.5 acres or 0.2 hectares of land surrounded by the typical rock walls you find surrounding many homes in Albania. What kind of animals do you find here? Chickens, sheep, goats, rabbits and even ducks. Yes, there is a garden for vegetables and grape vines throughout the property. Please don't think this a petting zoo farm... this is a working family farm that provides food for the family and you if you stay here. It is a modest home that has been in the family for many years, it is on a plot of land that has provided the food and shelter for the family for countless generations. I have nothing but enormous respect for the hostess and her family. It was the kind of home that my parents grew up in Ukraine. This is what attracted me to this place. These people are salt of the earth. Humble, happy and proud. Respect. I could write a short book about my stay here. To sum up, it was wonderful. I have stayed at my fair share of Airbnb places, but this is my most favorite place ever. I did not want to leave and I do plan to return and stay much longer than the ~10 days I was there. What are the highlights of my visit? 1. The hostess Alexandra and her dear mother. Real people. 2. Coffee with fresh goat milk every morning. Yes, it's that good. 3. The sunrise in the valley. Breathtaking. 4. The amazing hikes up the mountain and in through the valley. There are so many ruins and hidden cool places to discover. 5. Taking the goats and sheep grazing in the morning. Yes I did that!!! 6. I'm not going to give it all away...book this place and I'll let you discover all the wonderful things here on your own. Alexandra and her mother don't speak English. This was not a problem at all. I downloaded the microsoft translator to my phone. It allows two people to communicate back and forth at the push of a button. It made communicating with the hostess very easy. I had many wonderful conversations with Alexandra and her dear mother many times using this translator. So you will be just fine. Look... this is a farm. It smells like a farm where the animals live and it has bugs...get over it. If you are looking for Disney World or the Ritz Carlton...look somewhere else. This place is perfect the way it is and I will be returning in the near future. The apartment is clean and well equipped. The internet works great. My cell phone worked just fine. It has a great stove for cooking and a washing machine to wash your clothes. It has a TV, but why would you watch TV when you are in such a wonderful environment to explore? There are places to buy groceries to cook food...OR...you can arrange with Alexandra to prepare meals for you each day. That is what I did. Breakfast and dinner. So I didn't have to cook or buy anything extra to survive. It's up to you. I chose to eat home cooked food from the farm...how can you beat that??? There is so much more to say...but... Don't think about it. Just book this place now!

We were welcomed by Anna's mother who even when we didn't speak our language was super nice and available in everything. It was like being at a grandmother's place. There are 3 bathrooms and the kitchen is very large to eat together. Cozy garden with lots of kittens. Top location for getting around the hymare region (the most beautiful for beaches). Away from chaos and the perfect nightlife for those who want a relaxed and cute location. Very good restaurants nearby.

We stayed one night and it was great ! It was easy to find as it is just up hill with signs pointing you in the right direction. It is a family run business and it really felt like home away from home. We slept well, the widows have mosquitos nets, the view was impeccable and breakfast was delicious. I would 100% recommend Grandmas House to anyone visit for a night or more.

Was a great village of true albania.Very quiet place.Only thing is that you have to drive 10km without asphalt which was ok for me

My friends and I had an amazing stay at Ina's place! The accommodation was exactly as described, clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The location was perfect for exploring Saranda, not too far from city centre with very close proximity to the beach, supermarkets, and restaurants. Communication with Ina was smooth and prompt. Overall, I highly recommend staying here! I

Amazing location and host, really clean apartment and right by the beach. Felt really safe and the whole atmosphere of the place just felt like a home away from home. Will definitely be staying here again if I’m ever in Albania. Highly recommend :)

Stay at apartment was great, the host was very kind, friendly and helpful. They prepared us delicious breakfast. The room was clean and cosy.

The place is very clean and comfortable. It is easy to find thanks attached pictures and park a car (for free). Description of the listing and pictures reflects this place. The bed is huge and comfortable. We spent there 1 night, I recommend this place

Great place to stay, close to center, the house has everything you need, easy parking nearby walking distance from the beach! Super recommend the apartment! Malgorzata was always super responsive and available for all the questions I had! She also gave us great recommendations on what to do during our stay.

We missed the way to the house, we ended up above the accommodation. We asked 5 women how to get to the house. A lady lived right next door, she came to help, sat next to me in the car and we drove together to the entrance of the house. We will never forget this loving help and reception. We did not meet Zamira personally, but we did meet her wonderful mother. She took care of us as if we were part of her family. And her cooking skills at breakfast were simply first class. I even got to borrow an iron. The house is a little far from the center of Saranda, bus connection is nearby... The room with gallery offered us everything we needed. Cleanliness and tranquility. Everything was perfect. If I'm going back that way, I'll only stay here. Thank you

Very nice hostess. We were welcomed directly and the parking lot was shown to us. The room was very nice and you were in about 15 minutes on foot in the center and at the castle. In the morning there was a delicious breakfast overlooking the mountains from the terrace. ☺️

We lived in the ‚Honeymoon suite, very romantic. Everything is new and pretty much clean. But the very best is Brunas hospitality. She is a warm hearted person always looking for you and your welfare. Traditional homemade Breakfast whenever you ask for. We really enjoyed our 3 day stay. We can highly recommend this place.

The Patio Rooms were perfect. The view to the castle and the city are fantastic. Irsida and her husband are so nice and the best host ever. We highly recommend staying here. We definitely will stay here again.

The owners were incredibly friendly, their hospitality was outstanding. We felt very safe and welcome.

The accommodation: impeccable and really beautiful with beautiful wooden moldings. Very typical and very pleasant. Hosts: I've rarely seen such friendly people. We were lost in the city, they came to pick us up. Always at your service Really nice people. And they have a great restaurant for cheap at all (+/- 20€ for two people)

We are very privileged to have been able to book this place, the hosts received us with great kindness from the start. The place is located in the mountains and offers a beautiful view. I couldn’t finish this review without mentioning the breakfast. Everything was so good and made with kindness.
