Of course there are fish halls at the harbor where you can buy freshly caught fish, and the sale of fresh fish from the side of the fishing boats. Close to Denmark's second-largest forest area - Gribskov - National Royal North Zealand with the beautiful castles and magnificent scenes of nature with lakes, forests and beaches. Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. We are 2 minutes from a beautiful view of Kullen, the harbor and the coast, as well as a 7-minute walk to the beach with a bridge, and thus a great opportunity for a morning dip! Follow the Fyrstien towards the old Gilleleje, or in the opposite direction towards Nakkehoved Lighthouse, from which there is a breathtaking view. It is possible to borrow a men's and women's bicycle, with gears. Older models!

Apartment in the countryside

Cozy holiday apartment in quiet surroundings on our four-acre property, just outside Smidstrup Strand in Gilleleje. Cozy living room with living room/kitchen, as well as stairs to the bedroom on the 1st floor. The stairs are steep and the apartment is therefore not suitable for children. In the courtyard, there is a little space for you, so you can also enjoy the outdoor environment here. PLEASE NOTE! On weekdays, there may be some activity on the property due to masonry work, when employees arrive, goods deliveries, etc. Motorcycles are welcome!

The cozy and undisturbed 40 m2 vacation apartment/annex with bathroom and kitchen, has access to its own wooden terrace/garden with garden furniture in the summer.

In addition, along the beach there is a beautiful path (Gilbjergstien) on a slope, which leads to Gilleleje center (2 km) and cozy harbor. Zealand's northernmost fishing port. Cozy courtyard and covered terrace as well as a nice enclosed garden. Gilleleje is one of North Zealand's most cozy towns with many cafes/restaurants.

Gilbjergstien B&B A lovely, bright cottage on Gilbjergstien with beautiful views of Kattegat, The Sound and Kullen. The cottage is set back in an old garden and has its own sunny veranda and terrace. In addition, you will have your own exit to Gilbjergstien, with direct access to the city and hiking trails along the sea. Leave your car. You won't need it anymore. The cottage is in walking distance to everything in Gilleleje. Enjoy the quiet evenings and watch the big ships sail by.

The house is located in beautiful, quiet natural surroundings down to Esrum River. From the house, there is a view of the garden, river and fields. Next to the house is the main house where there may sometimes be someone. The house is beautiful with a lovely kitchen and bathroom and everything a house should have. 10 min walk from a beautiful sandy beach. There is free access to kayaks, SUP, campfire, bicycles and fishing rods. New WILDERNESS BATH and ICE BATH are available for a fee.

Esrum is a small quit village placed 50km outside Copenhagen. Esrum is beautiful situated next to one of Denmark greatest forest, Gribskov, and in working distance to Esrum Lake. Gribskov offers many outdoor activities, such as hiking, mountain biking, bird watching and much more. Esrum monastery is placed 100meter from the house, and offers museum and different activities. In the daytime there are a Café serving light dishes. Nearest grocery store is in the next village, 3km away.

The Sølængen at Høveltegård has beautiful views of the countryside and a small lake. Rented to 2 people, possibility of 1-3 extra on guest beds. The apartment is arranged as one large room of 50 M2 and contains a sleeping area, dining area and living room with TV, kitchen, bathroom and desk. Høveltegård B&B rents rooms, but here you have the opportunity to get your very own apartment with private kitchen, bathroom and terrace.

The Black Cottage + Orangery

Available from April 1. - October 31. The Black Cottage and orangery are parts of the historical place called Skippergaarden (Skipper´s Residence) Fabersvej 2c, in the old Gilleleje. Skipper´s Residence is built in 1797 with last remodeling done in 2003/4. The Black Cottage from 1892, when summer residents became popular. Last remodeling 2019/21. The orangery is from 2009. We have wi-fi and parking available.
