The life rhythm in the cottage is basic, close to nature in a wonderful hiking and cycling area, in a large, nature-rich place: vegetable garden, newly created food forest, flower gardens & pond are ecologically managed. There are a few pets (dog, cat, chickens, walking, bees). The refrigerator is underground and the composting toilet an experience in itself. The whole is made as environmentally friendly as possible and an invitation to live simply while respecting nature. There is a wood-burning stove.

Unwind in a beautiful setting with plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, and other outdoor sports. In addition to the beautiful nature, there is a lot of history to see (hunebed within walking distance) and there are the necessary restaurants nearby. The stay is a 10-minute drive from Assen and features a private entrance, kitchen, bathroom, toilet and nice outdoor terrace. Stay for 1-4 people and doesn't include breakfast. We were here for the second time and it was great again. Wonderful sitting outside and good use of the old but still fine bicycles. Nice walk. The chalet is also large enough inside, for the 6 of us. Good and pleasant communication with Jolanda and Martin. I'm sure we'll come back sometime!

We had a lovely weekend in Diego's mobile home. It is cozy and tastefully decorated, clear instruction folder and Diego is helpful and responds quickly. We gratefully used the bikes in the shed. From the campsite, you are immediately in beautiful woodland with beautiful sights. Thank you very much!

we were brought the last bit over the sandy path because our car was not suitable for that (it had rained a lot), because of this it immediately felt like we were really gone. The area is beautiful, lots of peace and space and opportunities to go into nature. The cottage was a cozy place to return after an autumn walk with a fireplace and candles on. The kitchen is very complete also with herbs/oil/tea/utensils and nice crockery. We loved our stay!
