Chez Bertie’s is located on the edge of a pretty hamlet in a rural and peaceful setting but is only a 20 minute drive to two larger towns with supermarkets and restaurants etc. The hamlet has an electric vehicle charge point within easy walking distance of a morning café/shop & evening shop/bar. You will be always be ensured a warm welcome at Chez Berties which provides the perfect base for a visit to the Charente, with the added bonus of being close to the borders of the Haute Vienne & Vienne.

Traditional spacious house in pretty village

Relax in this charming and spacious house with south facing sun terrace. This traditional stone built villa sits in the centre of the village opposite a 17th century church, with free parking and EV (Sorégies) charging point. The local bar/shop is a two minute walk. Villa Lierre is 5 mins from a large supermarket at L’Isle Jourdain. The Circuit du Val de Vienne is 15 minutes away by car. There are historic towns to explore nearby, and the river Vienne is a short walk through the village.

Old Water Mill

Old water mill, built in 1850. Many of the original features of the mill have been left & been used to create a place of charm & character. Situated on a twelve acre lake, within a listed & protected zone by Natura 2000. You can eat your breakfast on the terrace next to the lake, in a very beautiful & tranquil setting. The only noise here comes from the birds, wildlife & the sheep in the surrounding fields. Owner lives on site in adjacent farm house. Many local bars & excellent restaurants.

The little house.

The property is set in a small hamlet of Les Clides located 1mile from Mezieres. It is set back about 50 meters from a very quiet lane. To the rear of the property is a large seating area. You will find two grass areas with the above ground pool being accessed via a decked area. The garden is very secluded. The house has a lovely layout. Three bedrooms, one en-suite and a shower room serving the other two bedrooms. A large sitting room and an open plan kitchen dinner with seating area.
