The retreat is a lovely tranquil spot in the Ottawa Valley. It is spacious and comfortable, with lots of big windows looking out on the surrounding countryside. The only close neighbours are the deer and the wild turkeys. Carol is a friendly and charming host and she responds right away to any requests. Highly recommended! I plan to return, any time that urban life gets to be too much!

My kids, my mom and I loved the place. Beautiful and cozy cabin, surrounded of amazing landscapes. It is very peaceful and quiet place to have a real rest-time. We stayed for few time (unfortunately) as we were doing some activities in nearest towns, but, ths place is incredible to be in contact with nature, to do hicking, fishing, and swiming in the lake and many activit. You can buy delicious apple cider (we bought also for to go), eggs, and many farm products (vinager, etc) for a very good price. If you read all the information provided by the land lord and follow the rules, this place will exceed expectations. We will come back for sure soon for more nights!. Absolutely Incredible Stay! Our stay at Susan's cabin was, without a doubt, our best Airbnb experience in Canada so far and ranks right up there as one of our top staycations ever! It was the perfect long weekend getaway to completely reset and escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The green landscapes, calm, peaceful atmosphere was truly refreshing. Susan herself was an exceptional host. Her warm welcome immediately made us feel at home, and she went above and beyond by taking the time to tour us around and patiently answer all of our questions. The delicious, home-baked muffins and farm-fresh eggs waiting for us upon arrival were such a thoughtful and delightful touch! Thank you, Susan, for opening up this beautiful cabin on your property and sharing this wonderful experience with us. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil and rejuvenating escape. We hope to be back again soon!

My partner and I stayed in the Bunkie for a relaxing weekend and it was everything we were hoping for and more! Alison is a great host and her husband and children are so lovely! The property is absolutely gorgeous and it was fascinating to learn about the history and about how the house is off the grid! Alison and her boys took us to a great local spot to swim, and her boys showed us all the best places to jump off the rocks into the water (SO fun!!) The breakfasts were so yummy, featuring fresh eggs from their very friendly chickens. We highly recommend the pizza as well! Tamworth is close for a visit, and we headed up to Bon Echo before leaving for home. Would highly recommend a stay here and would definitely come back ourselves! Lisa’s cottage was exactly as advertised. She made sure to answer any inquiries and the property was wonderful for relaxing by the lake on the gazebo. Our fishing trip was fun and the access to the dock was very easy. The cottage was perfect for our stay and had everything needed for a nice stay on the lake. Lisa checked in with us a few times to ensure everything was fine and even provided a short history of the lake. Highly recommended cottage and we hope to return next year! Thanks again!

What a beautiful space! Such an easy spot to put our trailer ! The grass was pristine and so clean ! No dirt in our trailer at all . The hosts were so kind and friendly . We shared the space with their bunkie and we could barely tell they were there ! They have both spots positioned in a way where it still feels very private ! The boat was free to use and we had a nice sunset ride followed by a lovely campfire with a great view Of the lake !

we just spent a weekend gateaway 11 girls together escaping life and reality/motherhood, and this place surely help us achieve this needed time! it was beautiful!!! we had a wonderful time. kitchen is fully stocked, and everything that was offered was delivered. only smalls details, like the bunkie for the pool table is quite small, can make it hard to play at time and the table needs update and the bedroom doors are quite loud/squeeky. The place is older in general, but does come with lots of charm! The hot tub fits 7, which was really nice & the view and the way the sunrooms are is really nice! We are definitely gonna consider going back! thank you

We booked Bellgrove for our annual Family Day weekend with kids from 15 months to 80 years and we loved everything about the house. Catherine is a wonderfully responsive host and we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived - fresh baked cookies left on the counter! The bedrooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen a fabulous space for cooking big family dinners and watching the littles run around the island while some folks chatted by the fireplace. The furnishings of the house are absolutely lovely - so many conversations about the decor and how inspired we were to all go home and redecorate - if only we owned a big country mansion. We enjoyed sitting around the fire first thing in the morning and again at night after the wee ones went to bed. Absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend!

Absolutely loved our stay at this charming bed and breakfast! The peaceful atmosphere and rustic charm made it the perfect escape for a girls night. The food was incredible—each meal was homemade, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Claire & Matt were warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. Chris was an excellent host, super friendly, very warm and welcoming with superb service. The attention to detail and making sure everything from top to bottom was ready for us instantly made us felt welcome and it was like a home away from home. It took the stress and worry away from checking in a more remote place and being worried that things may be missing or not in order. He really sets the standard for what being a cottage host should be! You won’t find a better host anywhere else. P.S Poppy is also an excellent host😉🐶

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Andrey’s cottage! The space was clean, cozy, and exactly as described — even better in person. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind, surrounded by nature and peaceful surroundings. Andrey was a fantastic host — friendly, responsive, and thoughtful throughout our stay. We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy barn in Roblin! It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot , the perfect getaway to relax and unwind. I brought my partner here for her birthday, and she absolutely loved it! The barn has a charming and comfortable vibe, and it was the ideal location since it’s only about an hour away from the 1000 Islands Rockport Cruise. It made for a memorable and scenic get away. Highly recommend this spot for couples looking for a romantic escape!

What a wonderful spot! We had everything we needed and more. Easy checkin, host was very responsive, space was clean, lots of toys for our little one to play with, rooms were big and beds comfortable, towel warmer was a treat and bidet was a lovely extra. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Looking forward to going back!

Great location, very quiet and serene. It was perfect for our need of a quiet escape from the city. Super clean which is always a plus. Our toddler loved all the toys and books. Our toddler didn’t play with any of the toys or books we brought from home.

The Nest was a perfect getaway for our group of friends, for a quiet and peaceful retreat. The refurbished barn has a unique blend of original and modern decor, which creates a beautiful aesthetic, and Michelle went out of her way to create a welcoming space, with tons of amenities (over and above the regular expectations) to help you move into a liveable and warm space. She was prompt with responses and met us on site for a personal tour of the airbnb. The venue definitely lives up to the photos/description.

Amazing cottage on a beautiful sandy lake ! Cottage is well equipped for adults and kids alike, lots of fun activities for the lake are provided, also lot of outside fun for kids right on the property. The interior was very clean and had everything to make us feel right at home. Lake is sandy/shallow on the shore for kids to play ! Amazing experience for the whole family !

We rented for 2.5 months And we enjoyed every minute of the place! Lovely surroundings, quiet, enjoyed great fires, Watched the skies and saw the northern lights, falling stars, beautiful spot! A very cozy place, lots of room inside and out. Had the kids out for a visit and walked the beautiful scenic road to Wheelers pancake house and enjoyed their museum as well Thank you for the opportunity to rent your lovely home and treating us so well 😊

We had a wonderful time in the house near the lake. It was very beautiful and peaceful place, perfect for relaxing. We are very happy with our choice and if we have same opportunity in future, we will definitely come back again. Terry, is very friendly and helpful. We are very thankful for all conditions he gave us – the house has everything you need and even more! It is very cozy, clean, and comfortable. You can feel like at home but even better, because of the amazing nature around. The fireplace inside the house created a truly cozy atmosphere, especially in the evening – it made our stay even more warm and pleasant. Thank you very much to Terry for making our Easter weekend so special. It was a perfect time alone with nature and in this wonderful atmosphere of the house.

Laura and Dale’s cabin is a little slice of paradise, right by the water, and surrounded by trees and bright light. We visited for a weekend in early May, it was truly a rejuvenating experience—so much so, we extended our trip because we didn’t want it to end too quickly. Each piece in the house: from the multiple comfortable couches, to all the thoughtfully placed knickknacks leave you wanting for nothing. This place has everything you could need, from board games to a beautiful sun room, comfortable home linens to make your stay that extra special. Our dogs had the best time going in and out of the water, we got to relax stress free as the dock is so well maintained while our pups frolicked about. We will definitely be visiting again!
