“Sunset Sonata far exceeded our expectations! We were seeking a true outdoors Maine experience and we sure got it. The apartment was sparkeling clean, fresh and updated yet felt rustic and private at the same time. Located right on beautiful Taunton Bay we were able to kayak outside our door where we saw seals popping their heads up and playing as wells as tons of shore birds. We made full use of the shore property to enjoy water views at all times of the day. We were close to Scoodic Peninsula for hiking and to Acadia Park near Bar Harbor to cycle the Carriage Trails. We ate wonderful local lobster, mussels and steamed clams. Patty provided so many special touches including ingredients to make wild blueberry pudding cake in handmade pottery bowls! We'd return in a heartbeat.”

“We really enjoyed staying in this small but perfectly formed suite. We particularly appreciated the information Betsy gave us about the national park which proved to be really useful, and the nice touches of eggs, bread, coffee and porridge she left for breakfast. We’d come again!”
Our Rusticator Yurt offers all the comforts of a bedroom with the feel of camping out under the stars. Unique only begins to describe the experience. A queen memory foam mattress on a homemade bed fame, twinkle lights, heat and electricity. Glamping (glamorous camping) at its best. There is an outdoor hot water shower, vanity and a composting toilet in a nearby shower house. There is a hammock to lounge in and an outdoor firepit (firewood provided) so you can relax in the evenings.
“Absolutely LOVELY place to stay! Greg and Karen are such kind souls, very helpful with suggestions on hikes etc, and very accommodating. Check in instructions are very clear. The house is along the main road in Trenton which can get a bit loud at times, but earplugs are thoughtfully provided. The bed was nice and cozy, with lots of blankets and a heater to keep warm. Also a fan for if it's warmer outside. The wifi reaches the yurt well, but wasn't quite strong enough to stream Netflix. Convenient location for Acadia. Breakfast is provided and ample, with toast, jam, eggs, tea, fruit, etc. Kitchen is beautiful and well equipped. Everything is very eco-friendly which is a huge bonus!”
