Falling Pines Historic Cabin

The original log cabin was built in 1936 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). These cabins were built after the Blue Ridge Parkway was laid in 1935, which is just down the street. With love and attention our cabin's renovations were complete in 2017. We kept the original log walls to add a rustic feel to the contemporary, crisp clean decor. The cottage overlooks the babbling waters of Back Creek but is just a 5 minute drive to the grocery store, private yet convenient.

Located in Bernard's Landing, SML, this ground-floor condo offers everything you need for a quick getaway or a week-long vacation. The condo has recently been re-decorated and offers beautiful lake views, convenient access to boat rentals, one of the best restaurants on SML (Napoli by the Lake), and all the amenities you need. Property is a nature lover's delight for kayaking, hiking, bird watching, fishing and all the amenities near by. Floyd is 25 miles away, Roanoke is 35 miles and Rocky Mount is 11 miles. Depending on the season, you can watch Canadian geese, blue herons, egrets, numerous species of ducks and other waterfowl frolic in the pond.
