Chalet vacation rentals in Franklin County

Jonathan and Lisa were wonderful hosts! We stayed 3 nights to enjoy some Spring skiing at Saddleback. The home was close to town and a quick drive to Saddleback mountain. The house is perched high on a hill overlooking Rangeley lake. The downside is that the driveway is steep and icy (this time of year due to the recent March thaws) but the view and sunsets are breathtaking!! For an additional fee, you can enjoy their newly built sauna and whirlpool. So relaxing after a day of skiing that we booked it twice. The house has all the comforts of home. Being culinary masters, we had a bit of a struggle in the small kitchen. But certainly most everything you need to prepare great meals. Communication with the hosts was excellent and timely.

We had a great experience at Shelley’s place in Coplin Plantation. The house was spotless on arrival, with plenty of towels/linens for all the guests. Shelley was thoughtful enough to leave us hot chocolate, coffee, and a few essential groceries in the fridge in case of a late arrival. The house was everything and more than we expected and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Sugarloaf/Flagstaff Lake area.

Amazing experience, John was such a warm and responsive host. His house was wonderful, gorgeous place with room for a group to stay comfortably! We all would happily return again.

The Chalet was awesome. No complaints. The place was exactly as advertised, if we go back to Jackman for snowmobiling again we will 100% book with Darrick again.

Magnificent house and wonderful host. Michael was extremely responsive and accommodating, making sure to ensure our stay was comfortable throughout. The views were stunning and the fireplace was an excellent central point for us all to share during the evenings. We had a wonderful time and the weekend will surely be a fond memory for us. Loved our stay with the family. Nice to have three levels of living space. Great hot tub. We also enjoyed a short bike ride and cold plunging in the nearby creek. Very responsive hosts. Lots of small touches that make this a great retreat.

Perfect location and house for our group of 10 that skied at Sugarloaf! The house is located insanely close to the mountain and serviced by the shuttle that’s on call during the week and a schedule on weekends so you don’t even have to drive. The home was incredibly cozy and fit our group well. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great week at the SaddleShack! Liz was very responsive to all of our questions and made sure we had a comfortable stay. And the house is just as advertised - comfortable, tastefully decorated, and right there on mountain!

We loved our stay and would return! Perfect for our two families looking to do some spring skiing. We got lucky and caught the last couple days of the ski in/ski out trails being accessible. Loved dinner at Portage and the hanging out at Moose alley. Highly recommend!

Loafer’s Lodge is peaceful, beautiful, comfortable and offers something for everyone! Close to Sugarloaf and the Outdoor Center, Loafer’s Lodge was centrally located to all that we wanted to do. Returning back to the house to enjoy the beautiful view of the mountain, the cozy living room beside the fire, and the soothing hot tub was beyond any expectations that we had. Looking forward to returning!

We were in town for a charity benefit concert on the mountain. As two non-skiers, the location was great because we were away from the traffic but could easily get to the mountain and its amenities.

The experience in the house is very good

The house is exactly what you see in the pictures. It’s a very private space in the woods, so if you are looking for a peaceful time away from the city, this is a perfect place. There are enough amenities in the house that makes your stay comfortable and easy. The hot tub and fire pit make the outside even more enjoyable. Julia is a great host, very responsive and helpful!

We stayed at Haley's for our wedding weekend with a group of friends. It was really easy to find and checkin. When we arrived Haley checked in with us via message to make sure we were able to get in to the place. The house was spotless and everything was as described and matched the photos on the listing. It is about 10 minute drive to Sugarloaf for skiing or other activities. Plan to drive to/from mountain as there is no shuttle pick up and it is not walkable (we knew this ahead of time). The home is 3 floors with 1-2 bedrooms on each floor and 1 bathroom each floor. We really liked that the bedrooms weren't all on one floor as it added some privacy. The lowest level and main level each have modest sized kitchens. The house is only accessible by walking up or down stairs. We really enjoyed being able to use the hot tub during our stay and being able to bring our Greyhound with us. We highly recommend Haley and this home! We'd love to stay here again. Thank you!
