Alborada fué en sus orígenes una pequeña cabaña de labranza que albergaba las herramientas y materiales necesarios para trabajar en el campo e incluso ganado. Actualmente está reformada en una acogedora cabaña con una terraza delantera que cuenta con unas estupendas vistas de Mondoñedo, de su catedral y seminario.
