Monthly Rentals in Guernsey

We had a delightful peaceful stay in this pretty and comfortable self- contained flat . It was furnished attractively and was a lovely place to spend time in . Spotlessly clean and fresh in a tranquil rural setting that was also easy walking distance to the coast for hikes also a couple of nice local places to eat. There was good information available for the flat and for the vicinity. Well equipped kitchen and nice bathroom . Good local maps and guides . We also found it easy to use the bus service so did not need to rent a car to do the things we wanted to do . We would certainly return.

Prior to our visit Diana sent information about local events, things to do and local restaurants. There are pubs, restaurants and shops within easy walking distance and although in a rural area, all of Guernsey is easily accessible by car. The garden is beautiful and expertly maintained. Sitting out in the sheltered, sunny patio was particularly enjoyable. We would recommend the short boat trip to the car free island of Herm.

We had a fantastic time at this property, the hosts were super friendly and welcoming. we really couldn’t fault it. It suits us to stay in quiet places and we love walking, so we walked to town and got a taxi back, quite easily, from the town taxi rank. If you prefer to take a bus, they are easy to navigate on the Guernsey bus app and run from the hospital ( which is very nearby) into ST Peterport, the fare is £1.60. We will return to little Gem !

The Lodge was the perfect base for our stay in Guernsey. It is light, airy and warm with excellent facilities. Julie has provided everything that could be required. The welcome pack was most thoughtful with local produce including milk, butter and cheese, and and even the dogs had treats. The location is only a short drive from St Peter Port and access to the rest of the island is simple, with local shops and pubs within easy reach. The garden, which has views over a private field, is lovely to sit in and relax. Julie is a kind and considerate host and the Lodge is a super place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and strongly recommend it.
