We had an amazing stay at this Norwegian hytte! The location is breathtakingly beautiful, offering a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The quiet surroundings made for restful nights, with comfortable beds and a hot shower to enjoy after a day of exploring. We loved the wood-fired hot tub, kayak, and fishing gear that added to the fun and unforgettable experience. The kitchen was well-equipped, and there was plenty of space for our luggage. The price was fair, and it's easily the best Airbnb we've ever stayed in. We would definitely book again!

Exceptional place! Alone at the end of the world above the fjord... one of the best views of our stay. A cute cabin built by our host. Very well equipped and very beautifully decorated. Special mention to the toilet in a small independent cabin with stunning views of the fjord:) The hosts are welcoming, kind and available! Best place to stay on our trip!

We loved our time at the cabin had a lovely relaxing time and the hottub was a highlight! We had no problems and the house was very well equipped especially for anyone staying longer. We loved the waffle machine too.

We had a longer stay of 7 nights with Bottolf and Siw during our Norway trip – and it was just great! The place was mainly used for relaxation, for which the Jacuzzi was absolutely perfect. The house was very well equipped, clean and cozy – you immediately felt comfortable. We would particularly like to emphasize the warm hospitality: Bottolf regularly gave us great excursion tips and always inquired whether we were doing well and whether we needed anything else. We felt completely comfortable and would come back anytime. Thank you for the wonderful time!

I recently stayed at this apartment and had a fantastic experience. The place was spotlessly clean upon arrival, which immediately made us feel comfortable and welcome. It has ample space in all the rooms, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. One of the highlights was the beautiful natural light that filled the apartment throughout the day – it created such a warm and pleasant atmosphere. The views from the windows were lovely, adding to the overall charm of the stay. The location is good, 10 kms from Stryn Overall, a perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and peaceful vibes. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

We had a fantastic stay at Oddvar’s beautiful cabin; it had everything we needed and we really appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and laundry room. The views from the hot tub and garden are incredible and very peaceful/private. The cabin was clean, tidy and felt very homely. We would certainly come back and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the local area, or explore further afield from such a lovely base home. Oddvar is a great host, good communication, responsive and friendly. 10/10 🙌🏻 Thank you!

An amazing, peaceful location. As Australians we had no idea how it would be to stay on an island in Norway. After a first day when we learnt it was important to allow time to get around the island to the ferry (thanks to tardy sheep), we enjoyed several days out to sightsee further afield. The house is most ideal for the wonderful views, hikes and peace of the island but, if you're willing to plan carefully, trips into the Sognfjord region are certainly possible. Great stay and beautiful place.

The small, secluded cabin was perfect for switching off and relaxing. The surroundings are beautiful – lots of nature and a fantastic lake close by. I felt very comfortable and highly recommend the place.

Staying right on a fjord was amazing. The views from the house were spectacular. Ferries available to any island in area. I wish I had stayed for a month!

Loved my stay at this accommodation, beautiful surroundings and was so relaxing. House felt like such a home and we were provided so many great recommendations for what to do during our stay. The host was very helpful and friendly, and she would always reply within minutes to any queries we had.

We stayed 8 days in Tore and Ann Turids Boathouse with our dog Smilla and our 13 months old daughter. Ann Turid was very kind and always quick in answering our questions. The house is well equipped and it is a magnificent scenery from the house. The weather was a little bit rough sometimes thats why we could not use a boat. Ann Turid was so kind to organize a nice boat trip with a very experienced and nice local fisher called Rune. Rune visited us after the boat trip on the boardwalk to give us tipps for fishing. We loved the area and the peacefulness of this lovely spot. We took a walk up to Kronknappen mountain on a good day. We love to come again.

Mountains on three sides and a fjord on the other. If you're looking for solitude at the end of the world, this is it. A piece of advice, it's a single lane road in with blind corners and hills, so be ready to stop on a dime for on coming traffic. Also, the local market will have essentially anything you'd need, but they have eccentric hours so I'd recommend bringing along a day's worth of food to be safe.

Johnny was a great host, you felt like nothing was too much trouble. The cosy cabin overlooked a stunning lake and Mountain View. Toasty warm and super shower.

We felt comfortable in the blue vacation home right away. Everything was as described. The furnishing is modern and cozy. Everything was very clean. The view from the living room window and from the wooden terrace over the fjord was spectacular. Various seating options invite you to stay outdoors. The surroundings offer plenty to discover. ‏This is place is a heaven on the earth. By far the best airbnb I have ever Stayed in. ‏The host was exceptional meet, greet and gave brief about everything. ‏The home is satiated on the lake, got all what you need. The kichen is fully equipped. The bathroom got underfloor heating. The living room has an amzing view of the mountains and the lake. ‏We loved grilling outside peaceful and wonderful views.

Cozy cabin. Felt right at home. Perfect for a quiet getaway. Plus 15 min by car from a great hike called Lihesten.

Quiet location on the lake and yet quickly in the next town for shopping or restaurant visits. We spent 2 nights there and got along well without a shower. The living room with the wood stove is especially cozy!

We had a wonderful stay at Jarand’s cabin! The location is incredible and the cabin had stunning views. We enjoyed going for a hike in the area and going for a cool down in the stream. The cabin had everything we needed, including things to make coffee and easy meals. We were a bit worried about finding it, but Jarand gave helpful directions. If you follow Google maps to the coordinates, you’ll find where you should park easily and then have a short but steep hike up a clearly marked path. It was wonderful to disconnect for a few days and we have already recommended Jarand’s place to a few friends!

I can't say enough about this wonderful place! The pictures are lovely, but pictures just can't capture how beautiful this place is. This was our first trip to Norway and staying in this place was a real highlight. While in Balestrand, we also rented bikes (highly recommended). Terrific host; very communicative and helpful!
