Chalet vacation rentals in Flanders

We had a great weekend at Ruth and Martin's place. The two are great people, loving, hospitable, open and interested (but not intrusive). We were very well informed in advance about our stay so we knew what to expect before arrival (e.g. surroundings, shopping, wifi access, etc.). The little cottage was stocked with everything we needed. It is very well maintained, clean and nicely decorated. We felt at home and did not miss anything. We appreciated the proximity to Ghent, but actually only spent our time on the farm and was in the sun. The huge and winding garden invites you to dream, you enjoy the quiet and the beauty of nature. Thank you Ruth and Martin for this lovely PLACE!

We enjoyed the green athmosphere, the view and the zen-looking furniture. Everything was available and clean. Many fun things to do with small children, even indoors when it rains. We went during autumn-holiday. The forest was beautiful and it was very peaceful around. Sometimes it was cold inside, it took some time to heat the place up, but once heated up, it was very cosy.

What a fantastic place to stay this is! Small but very nice (and fully furnished) pods in a quiet and green environment, with a fantastic view on a picturesque high pedigree in which sheep graze. After cycling part of the Tour of Flanders and the delicious food that day, we slept wonderfully in the evening. So glad it's so quiet over there! The immediate surroundings are really beautiful! :) Annette gave us - before we left again - the tip to make a stop in the nearby Brakelbos: the purple forest hyacinths are currently blooming again. That was a golden tip: this was really beautiful to see! Thank you for hospitality Annette! And hopefully see you next time!

What a wonderful stay in the middle of nature. Perfect place to unwind. Inside, on terrace, on a bench around the pond, in the lounger...everywhere it felt excellent. Thanks to Benedict: nice cottage in a small neighborhood in the middle of the woods. All amenities nearby (Ursel or Aalter, 5 minutes drive). Well placed to visit Bruges, Ghent and the North Coast + nice site 5 minutes from the house for hiking in the woods, quiet. Norwegian bath very nice and easy to use.

The cottage has a cozy and large terrace on the waterfront! They have also arranged the space super practically inside. There is a cozy, warm atmosphere.

Wow! How we enjoyed it. Really everything was perfect. The cottage, the garden, the location, all amenities and it was sparkling clean. Everything has been thought of, down to every little detail. We had a great time. We have relaxed wonderfully, have enjoyed the wellness and the delicious breakfast. Communication with Joline went great. We'd love to come back!

The place is amazing and very private. The views are nice and the sauna and jacuzzi were perfect.

I have been there with old news and it was wonderfully quiet for me and my four-legged friends and I was looking for that. It was a very pleasant stay , also for my dogs, the forest was only a 10-minute walk. The cottage was neat and clean, I will definitely be back.
