Yes! Yes! Yes! Stay here!!!! Don’t even bother looking anywhere else. There is not enough space in this app to describe how pleasant our stay was. This home has everything we needed and then some! It was a breath of fresh air after staying in a mini-room in Oahu before arriving in Hilo. This was a very quiet, clean home with a large bathroom, large living space with living room and kitchen, and a large bedroom with tons of closet space. We could have easily stayed here a month in comfort. Save yourself some time, stop looking around. Book Tulpe’s place.

Tony and Larissa were very welcoming. It’s clear they put a lot of care and intent in their Airbnb. This is evident in quality cookware in the kitchen, a beyond comfortable bed, and hand-crafted home improvement projects. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

The neighborhood was peaceful, the beds were very comfortable, all the information was clear, our host was highly responsive and kind. We had everything we need to make our stay wonderful

Lovely place and very convenient location!

Truly an oasis! Dana and Gregory are wonderful hosts and Rivendell was one of our favorite Air BnB stays. The apartment was spotless and well-stocked, the bed was so comfortable, and the hot tub was very well-maintained and heated quickly. Now for the best part! The landscaped property and waterfall made for peaceful mornings and restful evenings. We wished we were staying longer. Mahalo for the perfect weekend stay! We will be back!

This place is great. It is surrounded by trees so very quiet except for sound of the nature. Very spacious for 2 people. The location is not very far from the volcano (~40min drive) and Hilo, so I would recommend it to anyone waiting for the volcano eruption.

We had the best airbnb experience with Suzanne & Lester as our hosts. Not only did they share their abundance of fresh produce in their huge yard, they were super accommodating and welcoming to our needs. We never ran out of the basic needs at the home. It was a pleasure and privilege to stay here. If you want a peaceful, cozy, and worry-free stay, I’d recommend staying here.

Liz had a wonderful home and was an amazing host! She was always very responsive and gave some great recommendations for activities to do during my stay. Her home was also a great place to stay outside of the Hilo area!

hidden gem on lovely grounds with his own honey bees making scrumptious honey. Dennis was so sweet and friendly and his dog and cat were so sweet too. loved how close and convenient it was to the volcano national park. The property is set in a simply gorgeous subtropical plot.

Everything was as described and we enjoyed our stay at the property - it was between Hilo and Volcanoes which worked well for us. Cooling the bedroom down does take some time, as the A/C is only in the living room and the cool air doesn't get into the bedrooms very easily, combined with the slat windows not sealing so some of the cool air leaks out of the house. However, the house was very clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed our stay there.

Absolutely beautiful home, exactly as the photos show and as described. Located in a lovely neighborhood and a great place to unplug and unwind. Spotty cell service (as expected for the location) but WiFi was excellent and allowed us to make calls if needed, plus there is a landline if needed. All amenities a traveler could need, including beach towels, toiletries, and spices/cooking supplies. Loved the nightlife (literal nightlife like frogs singing the song of their people at night). We felt safe and comfortable in this luxurious hideaway! Would definitely stay again! Yvette was also a great cohost who offered lots of tips for restaurants and sightseeing! We found them very useful and her local insight made our trip even better!

This home was perfect for our long weekend getaway, so close tot the volcano and really nice neighborhood; about 40 min from the airport, we enjoyed our morning walks in the neighborhood, the fireplace was great for the really cold mornings and evenings. Home was well stocked with extra blankets and towels; easy to get into home with code, and host was very responsive when we booked

We visited the Hiro, the beautiful beaches and the cave, the rainbow waterfalls, the black beach and the volcano national park, this place is very convienient to drive there as it's on the high way. to the far north we could go to the Honokaa. Morris is very helpful and let us use their shnorkel sets, fins, headlights for the cave, beach towels and picknic sheet. We appreciated about these things. We also enjoyed everyday our coffee expresso maschine. The foodland was only 8min. to buy our food. The local restaurant which Morris recommended to us was nice, too. Thank you so much Morris for your hospitality. We had a good holiday and enjoyed Hawaii island to watch the many ocean turtles. However one note; if someone in your family is very sensitive of the noise at the traffic on the high way in the early morning, the other place might better, although Morris got ready for the many ear plugs in the hose.

Home away from home. We loved how super clean and spacious it was. The ocean view was beautiful against the beautifully inspiring garden. (I want to make my backyard like this). Coming home each day took my breath away. The backyard has a table to eat on and wooden loungers to take a nice nap on and a bunch of Adirondack chairs to sit on. Dusty and Luba are amazing hosts with great recommendations such as the Maku’u farmers market, food spots and the Mt Kilauea volcano (we were so lucky to see the eruption on May 25th). We BBQ’d on their grill and cooked breakfast every morning all while enjoying the extremely relaxing ambiance. The showers were very clean with a rain shower head and handheld. At night the little frogs do croak but it literally puts you to sleep. Having the washer and dryer came in super handy for all our beach days. I wish this was my home! We would love definitely stay again.

Gorgeous home that was spacious and welcoming. I was here visiting my family and attending my niece's graduation. Of course other family came to have dinner at the AirBnb and it had everything we needed, minus the rice cooker- but that's an easy fix for a local family (bought our own). The outdoor lanai was spacious enough for us to make all our lei with the leaves and flowers we hauled in from Honolulu, and it also gave our family a large area to gather, eat, and catch up. It is private and literally off the beaten path but we loved it like our own household, taking the time to sweep and even hauling the trash to the refuse center ourselves upon leaving. Mahalo, Tisiphone, for listing such a beautiful space for others to experience. You, your 'ohana, and your place is lovely.

Beautiful place. So much light and the fireplace and porch made everything feel so cozy. We loved the bedroom and the ease of opening windows to listen to birds. Quiet. Didn’t hear the neighbor at all. Close to the park. We would definitely stay here again.

I was there with my boyfriend for the week. The location was great! Within walking distance g distance to great restaurants and the best farmers market I’ve ever been to. The views are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunrise in the morning was so beautiful. We felt right at home. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much Carla and Joe! It was a little slice of heaven there.

LOVED this location and the unit! Gorgeous views of the adjacent park from the lanais and a great place for morning walks or runs. I also really appreciated the extra touches — the welcome basket, yoga mats, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. Great value. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Maggie was very responsive and helpful. She had great recommendations and was flexible when I needed to add a night to my trip. The room has a great location and the balcony was amazing. It was very clean the bed was comfy and the fan combined with the AC kept it very cool. The pool was really big and had fresh water which makes a big difference. Overall a great experience A+ Mahalo Maggie!

The place was beautiful and really close to downtown Hilo. Carrie was very helpful and gave some helpful tips. Would stay there again anytime.

The accommodation was just as shown in the photos. It is located beside a quiet lake, making it a great base for visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and the Mauna Kea. Linda was friendly and responded quickly to our inquiries.

Staying here was my home away from home. We enjoyed the peace, sort of away from the busy roads. It was in the middle of a lot of places. They provided everything that we needed. Other than that, we will definitely return on our next trip here to Hilo.

I have stayed in a lot of Airbnb accommodations. This condo is the best. It it's perfect for one or two people it they aren't sharing beds. I love sitting on the balcony and watching the waves. I have been here multiple times and I am very comfortable here. Restaurants, market, and beaches are close and easy to access. I love staying here. Thank you!
