Cozy, 12 x12’ sleeping cabin on three acre property in the Ohia forest in Mountain View. Situated four miles off Hwy 11 between Hilo and Volcano National Park, come try off-grid living in a private setting. Fully equipped with solar lighting, propane on-demand hot water and great wireless internet. The 1400’ elevation makes for cool evenings and comfortable sleeping. The shared kitchen and full bath are located just steps away in a separate building. Kitchen has a gas stove and full sized refrigerator. Laundry facilities are located here as well and free to use. Rural location provides privacy and quiet. Volcano National Park is 20 minutes away, Hilo 25. Keau’u is less than 10 miles and offers gas, groceries, post office, urgent care and limited fast food.

I checked in late, around 10pm during intense rain. The long drive down the dirt road leading to the property and finding parking and the cabin was all a little sketchy pitch black darkness and rain. Was all worth it. A nice spot off the beaten path, comfortable with everything I needed. I would have stayed longer if the place wasn't already booked after my stay.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Stay! I had a wonderful experience staying at Shannon’s Airbnb. Shannon was incredibly welcoming, communicative, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my visit. The space was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything I needed. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

First of all I just want to thank Kiha for letting us stay at her cute & cozy place! It was everything we expected and then some! I would definitely love to stay with her again! She was super friendly, helpful, and her kindness made us feel very welcomed and at home away from home. She made sure we were taken cared of. 10/10 would recommend! Exceptional Airbnb! Tony was a great host. He responded right away and was very welcoming! The yurt is beautiful, exactly as pictured. He thought of everything. We really appreciated having access to beach chairs, Wi-Fi, and laundry. Felt like a great glamping experience with all the amenities at a fraction of the price near Volcano National Park.

This was our 3rd time staying here. Loved it every time. Very quiet and peaceful. Michael is very helpful and responds quickly. The place is beautiful and the air is crisp. Especially at night and in the morning. Will be back for sure.
