Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Felgueiras

This was a dream vacation - we had just moved to Portugal and spent 2 weeks getting setup. We wanted a quiet week as a family to rest before school started. This place was perfect: perched on a mountainside in the middle of vines, the space was quiet, peaceful and beautifully designed and appointed. Paulo, the husband, is an architect who refurbishes vintage designer furniture. Teyna, the wife, is an amazing chef. Her breakfasts (included) we delicious and the dinners they offer in their adjoining restaurant and well crafted and tasty. Their place is pet friendly - we brought our dog, and they have a dog, two cats and two birds. We did outings to Porto, nearby Roman ruins, historic villages and swam in the rivers running through them. It was delightful.

Lovely manor-type setting approx. 35 minutes from Porto. Lots of greenery, tasteful arrangement of houses where you have your privacy but also the benefit of other people (guests) around you. The house itself is compact but will comfortably fit 5-6 people (we were 5). Georgina was a great host and promptly helped us out with out requests. The pool is great especially for relaxing after a hot day. And one can eat outside on the inside porch next to the fountains, which was very relaxing. Highly recommended!

We really liked the space and our dogs also enjoyed it. At night we can hear the crickets and during the day several birds chirped and the bees were pollinating. We took advantage of the yard to rest a bit before returning.

Five stars to Casa de Cardido and to Rui and Alexandra for being wonderful hosts. We were a little late checking in, but Rui greeted us with a smile and a very generous tabua of local cheeses and meats. The hosts go above anything expected, with a sound system at the pool, exercise equipment, and fresh bread delivered daily. The house is a traditional Portuguese home - and it feels like a “home” not a rental. We spent two weeks here and it felt like staying with family. I noticed that one review commented on how close the highway is. Please know this is not a problem. You can see the highway when approaching the home from the road, but you cannot hear it and it does not interfere with the experience. This is very high quality stay with caring and involved hosts that will make sure you have all you need. I highly recommend.

The countless reviews say it all: this place and Murilo's hospitality are both exceptional. Best to check it out for yourself as my review won't do it justice. A few highlights: the kitchen is fully equipped, the space is family friendly, and the landscape is amazing. This is my favorite airbnb booking, and I travel a lot. It was an amazing weekend. We felt at home. We enjoyed the cold nights by the fireplace and with family games. Our pet was super happy with the green areas. Clean and comfortable linens. In addition to excellent communication with the host, always available and polite.

As a family with a lot of teens, I loved how many spaces this house had for hanging out. Also, having so many rooms with two single beds instead of shared beds is so nice when you have a lot of teens along. The outdoor spaces are so beautiful and peaceful and the yard is full of plants and flowers. We enjoyed the ease to reach Guimarães. We would happily return to this lovely home.

Abi and Regina are exceptional hosts who made our stay memorable. We especially enjoyed the tour of the animation museum by Abi which was fascinating The property is very lovely, the flower and vegetable gardens are incredible and the whole ambience is very relaxing. A Hidden Gem in Nature! We had an unforgettable stay at this stunning farmhouse! The setting is absolutely serene—surrounded by lush greenery and fresh air. The highlight for us was definitely the natural water tank. It felt like our own private spring-fed pool—so refreshing and peaceful, especially in the mornings. The farmhouse itself is beautifully maintained, combining rustic charm with modern comforts. The interiors were cozy and spotless, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking meals. Waking up to the sound of birds and sipping coffee on the porch while looking out over the landscape was pure magic. Our host was warm, welcoming, and very responsive, offering great local tips and ensuring we had everything we needed. If you’re looking to disconnect from the hustle and reconnect with nature, this place is a dream. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing place. We've spent a month there and everything was perfect. Nuno is very helpful and a friendly host. The place itself was above all of our expectations: fantastic view, super clean and comfortable. Felt right like home.

Had a great stay at this property, it's rustic yet modern character allowed for a very relaxing stay. The views from the pool and bbq area are better than expected. The location is ideal, about 45 mins from the airport by car. I would recommend this stay to anyone.

Very nice house, the caretaker Olivia was very welcoming and did us a favor. The estate is very large, many more peaceful (shaded corner, large pool...) there is a very nice dog who stayed with us during our stay. The only small downside is the automatic watering which is not too often too often, which is not necessarily necessary sometimes. I recommend this vacation rental with friends in Portugal! ☺️

We had wonderful days. Interior of the spaces are a bit dated, but everything is clean. Pool and views really beautiful. The pool is shared with Farmhouse 2 but is fine to do. In the house also more than enough space, large kitchen. Communication with Hugo was fast and easy.

We went for the anniversary of my girlfriend and we loved the super equipped and comfortable house. Everything was very clean We would be back

Manuel and Rosaria are lovely and very considerate people, who anticipate the possible needs of the tenants of the cottage. It was very easy for us to communicate with them despite the language barrier. When we arrived, we were able to taste Portuguese specialties. The cottage is very well-equipped, very clean and very conveniently located for visiting northern Portugal. The property is beautiful, with different spaces, garden, pool, vines and animals. We had a wonderful stay! The house was very cozy and had everything we needed. The area is quiet with a beautiful view, perfect for walking into the village and enjoying nature. Nearby, there is a lovely town called Amarante (about 20 minutes away), and from there you can take a Flixbus to Porto, which takes around 45 minutes and is also quite affordable. A big thank you to the cousin of the hosts, he took great care of us and was always there to help when we needed anything. That was very kind and made us feel welcome. We even received a small gift when we left, which was really thoughtful and sweet! We stayed for a month and felt very comfortable and safe the whole time. It was a great experience, and we would love to come back again!

This place is easily described in one word: Unique! Sleeping in a this renovated monastery was amazing! The view is just splendid, the swimming pool is perfect and the whole vibe: fantastic. The appartment's got everything you need. Well furnished, super clean, comfortable bedding. A great pace! In addition, you have a free and secure parking place, acces to the main building with a nice librairy, dinig room etc: lot of history in there! But don't get me wrong: your personnal space is all for you: living room, kitchen, bedroom: you have a complete appartment PLUS the old building with the libraoty etc.. ALso, Luis and is wife arfe amazing persons: always there for you and interested to help you. Luis also speaks french english and spanish! The premisses are just amazing with wine yards, places to relax, walking paths etc. DO not miss the amazing old chuch down the path AND make sure to visit the inside of the church gardens (door at the extreme right) Thanks to Luis and is wife for an amazing stay. Also, speacial thanks to the cleaning lady who is also a member of the tema and helped us when we arrived! We definitly recommend this place!
