Our accommodation is close to beautiful meadows and hills, ideal for relaxing, hiking, going offline.... You will love our Lydi hut because of its location, because of the little that is more, and the surroundings of our beautiful Vogelsberg. My accommodation is good for couples, single travelers, families (with children) and dogs. The renovated half-timbered house is located on the hamlet of Schmitten. A hamlet is very tiny residential development with about 10 houses. Pure idyll.

More than 20 years ago we bought the Sheikh House, a single house in the beautiful volcanic region of Vogelsberg. In the past, the farmhouse consisted of a dwelling house, a stable and the barn. We both worked in tourism and managed a holiday village for a long time. When we retired, we decided: This is not possible without guests! We rent a wonderful, cozy cottage. The cottage is located on the grounds of the former Maria pit right on the edge of the forest. The Silberhaus is newly renovated in 2020 and lovingly furnished. Due to the high-quality equipment and some extras such as infrared cable, wood stove, sauna with outdoor shower, large terrace overlooking the forest and much more, our holiday home is the ideal place for recreation and relaxation.
