Family-friendly vacation rentals in Farsund

Perfect stay for our Christmas holiday! The house was decorated, beautiful, and very large. The kids couldn’t stay out of the pool and hot tub! Host was very very accommodating, and the location was breath taking! Id do it again in a heart beat :) very pleased.

We had a wonderful vacation in nature. Hiking, fishing and exploring the surroundings. The contact with the hosts was friendly, accommodating and quick, questions were answered comprehensively and tips were given. The old farm is situated in fantastic nature. You can tell that the hosts also use the house themselves occasionally. We enjoyed it very much, thank you!

Nice cabin

We a family of 4 arrived at Magnar's cabin for one night and stayed for two. We did not get a chance to meet Magnar but he was available all the time and very nice. We found the cabin very easy. It was clean very quite and very well equiped. We even made our own bread and pizza ! The view, Oh the view... Magnifisent. Be aware there are no linnens or towels as it is the standard in cabins across Norway. Toilete has no flush water but we found it no problem at all !!! All in all it was great! Thanks Magnar!

Way better than we ever could have imagined! We had the most beautiful honeymoon here and would go back in a heart beat. Very private and a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Knut has thought of everything you could need and is very helpful. He even left us a lovely honeymoon hamper when we arrived which was so kind. This really is a one off location unlike any other!

The location and the cottage are really very nice. Everything went great, the hosts were nice and always available for questions. Had a wonderful vacation!

We enjoyed the view and the cabin a lot. Private and in nature. Also being on the boat on the lake was so relaxing. Satu described it very wel and is friendly. The little walk up to the cabine is done fast and worth it. We enjoyed the place a lot.

Fantastic place! Lovely house right on the edge of the dock. Patricia received us very well and was friendly and welcoming. She provided garden cushions and a parasol, and had everything ready for us in the cabin. She also sent all the necessary information in advance. She responded quickly to our inquiries. We experienced being very well received. Great house with three good bedrooms, two of them with stunning views of the fjord. We had some lovely days. I highly recommend the place!

Second time for us in this lovely cabin. We enjoyed the lake, the peace and quiet and, most of the time, the sunny weather. Not much had changed since our first visit three years ago, the nearest neighbours were very helpful with check-in and practicalities like fresh water. We lacked nothing and enjoyed our stay very much.

Unni and Bjarne are great hosts. We received a warm welcome and good information about practical things and about the area. Also rented a boat, where both boat and engine were a top standard. The cabin was great and is very well equipped in the cabin. Perfect location lie by one cozy water and only a 5 minute stroll to the sea. on the water there is access to rowboat and fresh water fishing, and the sea provides perfect fishing opportunities one stone's throw from the jetty. We had fishing luck when the fish was bitey, and got good with both cod, poll and mackerel. Many cozy excursion opportunities, such as Lyngdal and Mandal City City, Sørlandsbadet, Lindesnes Lighthouse etc. We had 5 amazing days and will be happy to come back

Gunhild is an absolutely wonderful host. Very welcoming and helpful in every way. This is our second time at the cabin and plan to come back again! The lake is amazing and Gunhilde allowed access to kayaks, paddleboards, and a nice rowboat. The cabin is in a quiet and peaceful place. I highly recommend this gem.

Awesome, convenient and child-friendly space Top for a family of five, but also room for more. Quite central location, with short distance to beaches and water park, among other things.

Really nice cabin right by the lake. Nice view from the terrace and living room. Completely clean. Brand new kitchen. Landlord Åse on site and shows everything. Really nice with three types of boats to sail and fish on the lake. We'd love to come again. The only small minus is the slightly close location on the road which, however, is not very busy

Our stay at Per’s place in Åna-Sira was lovely. The house is very eclectic, mix of old & new, with lots of art, plants, vintage furniture & decor. The house sits over the water with docks surrounding on one side and the location right in the middle of the fjord couldn’t be more picturesque. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking family dinners and space was enough for our group of 10. We had quite a bit of rain but the fireplace kept it cozy and we did some rainy day excursions to the nearby museum and Flekkeford. We were able to fish lots of trout from the dock and found plenty of wild mushrooms on the numerous hiking trails around nearby (porcini & chanterelles). On the sunny days we did some of the longer hikes which are well worth the effort for the views and otherworldly landscape, but be prepared to get wet feet even on dry days.

This place was in a great location for visiting Mandal. The bathroom is very large and functional. The organization of the living room is quite surprising, sincewe're not sure which bed to take... But it's still very pretty and comfortable! Thanks for the listing! 😊

Your stay met your expectations. Everything was good, but the patio was extra good, but lots of great flowers in a cozy environment.

Absolutely superb stay with 2 adults, 2 big children and one of 6. Mega cozy house and perfect with the anex. Nothing is missing. Close to everything in the city and cozy little beach with 3 min walking distance. Highly recommend

The House was very clean and super cozy. It really felt like a home, on our vacation. The kitchen has everything you need, for all kind of cooking. Good WiFi and a nice view directly to a part of the harbor. The bathroom is small but has everything you need. The stairs up to the second floor are quite steep like you are on a ship, so maybe difficult for small toddlers or elderly people but definitely adds to the northsea feeling. The communication with Øystein was super easy, he answered right away, was very friendly and had great tips. Since he wasn't in town during our stay, our contact there was Arian, who was also very nice and checked that everything was ok. From Borhaug you also have a great access to various activities and there is a supermarket and a fresh fish shop very close (5 mins of walking). I definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting norway.
